It was my first time here, but it was definitely better than the other places I've ever been.

I’ll start by saying I only do business at Evans here in town for all my tire and alignment needs, they were closed until Tuesday due to the holiday. Needing to get the tires swapped this weekend, I went here out of necessity.
Got there around 930 ish. 15 min later a tech grabs the keys and pulls the truck around back. Roughly 1 hour later (1030 ish), service advisor says that when the tech got in the truck to move it, he said the TPMS light was on the dash… (100% no it was not). All week back and forth to cherry point and zero issues. This morning driving to Mavis, zero issues. I know my vehicles and don’t mess around with warning lights/leaks/ etc.
They try upselling me saying that since “the light” was on that they could replace the sensors while the tires were off the wheels. Knowing the light was never on and sensing some fishy business going on I said no, don’t change the sensors and just put the new tires on.
1 more hour later (1145-1200). Advisor grabs the truck and pulls it around front. I pay the man and go to leave. Start the truck and magically all 4 corners are showing 35 psi on the DIC and NO TPMS light on the dash? Weird, I thought the tech said the light was on and I needed to replace the sensors?? Shut the truck off and go back inside. I ask what’s going on, I thought the tech said the light was on when he first got it the truck to move it and I needed new sensors? Advisor claims, the tech had entered the wrong year on the TPMS tool when relearning the pressures and he was able to get the light to go away. But…. If the tech said the light was on when he first got in the truck to move it, before even removing the old tires…. Then entering the wrong year in the TPMS tool for the new tires is irrelevant since the light was already there from the start?? Also, if the old tires were off, how would you reset the pressures and get the light to “go away” without putting the new tires on? A straight answer could not be given and they stated that he was able to correct the issue and I was all good to go and I did not need sensors.
(Forgot to inspect wheels before leaving) Get down the road and have a look at the wheels. (1) wheel is clearly damaged on the lip and 3/4 center caps are not seated all the way. The center caps are keyed and can only sit fully flush if oriented correctly (not a difficult task). Not that caps are a huge deal, but at roughly $25 each… I’d rather not have 3 of my 4 fly off while driving and have to spend money to replace them due to laziness. Fix the center caps and drive home. Start to unload the old tires and notice one of the sidewalls in chunked, done during removal. Not that the old one matters that much, but all the puzzle pieces came together. Shotty maintenance, 2 hours to complete a simple tire swap on 4 wheels and false claims of needing parts I didn’t need in order to upsell me.
Advisor was polite, not sure if he was trying to cover for the tech knowing he got caught in a lie trying to play the game as well or what.
Regardless…lesson learned, if you value your vehicle, time and money… don’t go to Mavis.
I knew better than to go anywhere else, but will now ONLY be using Evans tire if I need tires or alignment work done. Been goin there since 2016 with all 3 of my vehicles and have never had a single issue. Prices are right, all the work is done right in front of you and they get you in and out…. Not sit around for 2 hours and have staff lie straight to your face.

They were quick and friendly but I won't go here again. I just got new tires and now my car is shaking bad. I noticed it the next day and took it back in and they said the tire pressure was off.. I'm not a car man so I took their word for it. You're the professionals. It stopped shaking under 60 mph so I told my grandmother too keep and eye out and let me know since its her car. I haven't driven it in 2 weeks or so but im using it today for a mini road trip and absolutely feel the car is going to fall apart. Looking for another car shop now

I ran over something on my way to Sam's Club and my tire started losing air fast. We rolled over to Mavis on 18 PSI and all the alerts going off in my car. Mavis was short staffed, but they made it a priority to get us in since I was stranded with my kids. Mavis had my tire fixed in under an hour, they were awesome and so helpful. Thanks Mavis for saving my day and helping us out!! You are my new favorite tire spot!
