- JTJDand TeddiAug 15, 20261.0I took my new (to me) 2022 Toyota Truck in for an oil change on 06/23/2026. On 8/13/2026 my oil filter fell off while driving home on US 421. I walked back and found the filter - it's a purepro TL14612...the wrong filter for my truck. I contacted Grease Monkey and spoke w/the regional manager, and he was very nice and apologetic, but that doesn't excuse incompetence. A couple of lessons have been learned here - #1 do not trust your vehicle to Grease Monkey - they are ok for inspections, but I wouldn't trust them to change the windshield washer fluid. #2 If you are going to roll the dice w/them - ask to see the oil filter before they spin it onto your vehicle and then google that $#@! to make sure it's the correct one. If you are with Grease Monkey and reading this - here's an idea. You always have your guys pull the air/cabin filters out in an attempt to upsell the customer - perhaps you should make it a standard practice to show them the filter you are installing so they can verify it's the right one
- KFKiara FallsAug 14, 20261.0I would not recommend getting your car inspected at this location. I took my car to get inspected here since I work in the same plaza as this location and it was convenient. I did a run through check of my vehicle to make sure it is up to inspection code and that I would pass before i got it inspected but however, when I got the inspection done. I was told I failed due to my tires being dry rotted and no tread. Which is false because I got them checked before going to get the inspection. I let them “explain” what he saw what was wrong with the tires (it was 2 tires). Informed them that I just had them checked and they were up to code and perfectly fine. Fast Forward a couple hours later after I got off I took it to the valvoline I always take my car and it passed inspections and he said nothing was wrong with my tires. Also there are other reviews on this location about them failing inspections due to “tire issues” and nothing was wrong with their vehicles..
