  March 2026, I had my front winshield replaced at Safelite in Hickory NC, cost $1175. They force a replacement of the front camera assembly as well. About a week after the installation, I contacted them to say the front collision indicator seemed off from what I remember before the replacement. They sent a tech to my location to recalibrate and he indicated the calibration was correct. One day later the forward collision stopped working and other items (auto high beam etc) stopped working. Now it's not just a calibration issue, but the whole front camera is not connecting properly. I contacted the tech and he said I need to bring it back to the shop (1.5 hours away) to have them look at it. I'm a busy person and didn't get to make an appointment for sometime later. When my appointment was coming up, the shop in hickory texted me to say that the recalibration is out of warranty and I would have to take it to a Dealer to have it looked at. Say what? I replied indicating my unhappiness and they removed the text completely from my phone. Now I have to take my vehicle to a Dealer and bear the expense to fix Safelite's mistake on equipment failure. Will not be using them any longer!

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot say enough good things about the team at Safelite. What started as a frustrating situation turned into one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. Jeff Faircloth is the definition of outstanding customer service. He has the gift of gab and knows exactly how to make people feel welcome. Even though we ended up waiting all day for our back glass replacement, Jeff turned a bad situation into a positive one with his professionalism, communication, and genuine hospitality. Employees like Jeff are incredibly rare. If I were hiring, I’d bring him onto my team ten times over without a second thought. Safelite is fortunate to have someone like him, and he absolutely deserves recognition and honestly, a raise if possible. Steve Husted installed the glass, and I was beyond impressed with his work ethic. He vacuumed the inside of my vehicle, treated it with exceptional care, and worked his tail off in 107-degree heat. Despite an incredibly busy schedule and getting to my vehicle later than expected, he hustled to make sure I was taken care of and even stayed late to finish the job. Before I left, he thoroughly explained how to care for the urethane over the next 24–48 hours so everything would cure properly. That’s the kind of craftsmanship and customer care you don’t forget. The front desk staff was also fantastic, friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with from start to finish. I was traveling through from Idaho, and I’m extremely glad I chose Safelite. This entire team went above and beyond, and I sincerely hope Safelite recognizes Jeff, Steve, and the front desk staff for the incredible job they did. They represent the company exceptionally well. Thank you all for turning a stressful day into a great experience!

  The TECH was on time and completed the task ahead of schedule. Very curteous and professional. Would Highly Recommend Safelite to anyone who requires a new car windshield!!!

  Had a windshield chip repaired, the quality of work and customer service was outstanding! This is how you retain customers, I know when needed, I’ll head straight to Safelite, no question!

  My back passenger side window shattered while I was at work, I wasn’t sure if it was from heat or a rock from the guy mowing, but I went online and scheduled an appointment immediately. My husband was out of town for a week and I basically panicked, not sure what to do. Safelite came to my house within a week and replaced it with no issues. I was kept updated throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend!! Thank you to my tech William and the safelite team!
