  Had a great experience with Penske Truck Rental in Havelock. Amanda was fantastic—super helpful, friendly, and made the whole rental process smooth and stress-free. She answered all my questions, kept things clear and simple, and just made it easy. Excellent service. I'll definitely rent here again.

  I want to start by saying that I have had great experiences with Penske as a company overall. Their customer service has been helpful, their roadside assistance was excellent when I needed it, and I genuinely enjoy working with Penske. Unfortunately, my experience at this specific pickup location was completely different. The pickup process was so negative that I seriously considered leaving and contacting Penske to request a different pickup location. The only reason I did not do so was because I was already on a tight schedule with my move and could not afford the delay. Throughout the process, I was given information about the truck that directly contradicted both what I had read online and what Penske representatives had told me over the phone. This immediately raised concerns about the accuracy of the information being provided. The employee handling the paperwork would not allow me to accurately document the damage I observed on the truck before pickup. Instead, I was pressured to sign the damage disclosure form despite not agreeing with the condition report as presented. That was extremely concerning, especially when renting a vehicle where documentation is important for both parties. The vehicle walkthrough felt rushed from start to finish. The explanation of the truck's features, operation, and condition was minimal and unhelpful. Rather than feeling confident before starting my move, I left feeling uncertain and frustrated. The location itself was also difficult to find and did not feel welcoming. Overall, the staff were difficult to work with, and I did not feel I could trust the information I was being given. To Penske's credit, after my experience, a supervising manager reached out and was very kind, professional, and genuinely interested in making future customer experiences better. I appreciated that follow up and their willingness to listen to feedback. While I will continue using Penske because of the positive experiences I have had with the company as a whole, I would not recommend this particular pickup location. If possible, I would strongly encourage customers to choose a different Penske pickup location for a smoother and more professional experience.

  When I first made the reservation, I made it with a gentleman. I am so sorry I forgot his name but he was wonderful and today I called back to speak to somebody else about the entire price of the truck and to make sure the 12 foot bed was there and I spoke to Danielle in Pennsylvania. She works at the reservations office and she was just delightful. You people have a wonderful person working for you believe me and, I look forward to doing business with you again thank you very much.
