  During my trip to Greensboro, I was involved in an unexpected parking lot accident that was not my fault. With a flight to catch, I was concerned about delays, but the manager who helped me (I think his name was Will, returned it around 2pm Oct 9th) was incredibly understanding and made the process fast and stress-free. I truly appreciate his help and excellent customer service. Thank you for turning a frustrating situation into a positive experience.

  Absolutely terrible experience with the Alamo/National rental car location at Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, NC. My flight landed at 10:15 a.m., and I arrived at the rental car counter around 10:30 a.m. When I checked in, I was informed that my rental car was not ready because it still needed to be cleaned. When I asked how long the wait would be, the representative couldn’t give me a definite answer but said it could take approximately 30 minutes. I ended up waiting 1 hour and 7 minutes for my rental car. Because of this delay, I had to reschedule a meeting in Winston-Salem. This wasn’t a minor inconvenience—the delay directly disrupted my schedule and the reason I had rented a car in the first place. What I find most frustrating is that I had a confirmed reservation. Alamo/National knows how many reservations are scheduled, the pickup times, and how many vehicles are expected to be needed. What is the purpose of making a reservation in advance if a vehicle isn’t going to be available anywhere near the scheduled pickup time? I understand that unexpected delays can happen, but waiting more than an hour for a reserved vehicle because it still needs to be cleaned points to a serious problem with planning and operations. To make matters worse, I wasn’t given an accurate estimate of how long the delay would actually be. Airport rental customers have flights, meetings, appointments, and other commitments. A 67-minute wait after arriving to pick up a confirmed rental car is unacceptable. Alamo/National needs to seriously improve vehicle availability, preparation, and communication at its Piedmont Triad Airport location. Based on this experience, I would not choose this location again.

  I fly in almost every week to Greensboro and 80% of the time I have to wait on a car. Sometimes the wait can be an hour. National has tons of cars in the return area, but they are so poorly managed, they never have them ready. The whole purpose of using National (more expensive) is the ability to walk to your car and go. It works well at literally every other airport.

  I would like to take the time to let the managers and staff of the National Car Rental at the Greensboro Airport location you are appreciated. The managers there have always taken the time to make sure my rental experience is positive. I have never had a negative experience at this location. With good to great customer service seeming to be overlooked so often and not enough people saying thank you, I would like to extend my appreciation. Please keep the positive rental process going.
