- CHchris hammondJul 20, 20261.0If i could give it zero stars I would. This place is terrible. I had brakes under warranty and Maurice B suckered me to think the pads wouldn't be covered. Had me purchase some. I called battleground locations and they confirmed the pads are returnable. So I went back to store to take the ones I bought back and get the ones under warranty. The store is claiming they processed the return but the money has not been refunded back to me. This has been 20 days of back and forth between this store and customer service and no one seems to be able to fix it. Im going to dispute with my bank but if things were handled correctly. I should have never been charged to begin with. This has highly pissed me off. Never shop at.this store. Go to another location with people who know how to do their job. I hope they close this store down

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
