Advance offers a 20% discount for online orders over $100, so I placed it really quick, took off across HWY 321 and picked up my order. The order wasn't ready, but to be fair, I placed it 3 minutes before walking into the store. The guy behind the counter was quick to get my parts and I was out the door a few minutes later.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
