Just bought my second Taco from Antonio. Great guy. Straight up and worked hard to make sure I was set up and ready to go. The service department has always been professional and well organized. Karsen is one of the service technicians who really does a great job of communicating with the customer. I plan on continuing to use Toyota of Gastonia.
I wish I could rate this dealership higher, because I've been very happy with my Camry, but I can't. In my opinion, from my experience with having my car's regular service performed here, they're not particularly friendly, informative, or accommodating.

Town & County Toyata does it again! Arrived early for my schedule 10:30 appt. I was informed that I would likely wait 2 hours to address a recall. I was prepared to do so. OVER three hours later, and ZERO Communication from anyone I go out to inquire... just to learn that this particular recall 'may' (or may not) have been completed in the past and was not going to happen today. No one came out to update me or to inform me of anything, and per usual, excuses flowed like water. I had to ask to please reassemble my vehicle so that I could leave.
After leaving upset at how things unfolded, I decide to reach out to the manager to share my concerns and frustrations and what do you know... he claimed to be getting ready to reach out to me. Ha!!
This dealership is consistently hit or miss!!
No real accountability and mediocre customer service.
I try to steer clear of T& C Toyota, but they reached out to me about this recall. SMH.
Dont go here for your Toyota care 10k mile maintenance. Your windshield wiper fluid might take a few days once not actually filled to disperse the solution onto your windsheld. Also , dont even THINK about not knowing where your hood latch is. You might be berated and spoken to like crap. Also , make sure to place blame on Scott clark Toyota, because you know, they were magically in Gastonia making sure you dont fill the wiper fluid. Its definitely their fault ! 🤣

I had a very disappointing experience with Toyota of Gastonia.
My vehicle was kept for about a month for diagnostics, and I was charged a substantial amount of money for what I was told were the issues: a purge valve and a water pump. Both diagnoses are highly questionable—my purge valve had already been replaced multiple times with OEM parts, and my vehicle showed no signs of a failing water pump (no overheating or related symptoms).
Despite the time, cost, and extended wait, the issue was not resolved. Less than 24 hours after picking my vehicle up, the check engine light returned along with additional dashboard warnings. At that point, the service provided did not reflect the cost I was charged or the time my vehicle was held.
I’ve been dealing with this ongoing issue for nearly two years and brought my vehicle to this dealership as a last resort, expecting a thorough and accurate diagnosis. Instead, I was quoted nearly $1,000 for a water pump replacement that was later proven unnecessary.
A mobile mechanic was able to properly identify the actual issue within 10 minutes of basic troubleshooting, which raises serious concerns about the quality and depth of the dealership’s diagnostic process. It appears the evaluation relied heavily on scan codes rather than true mechanical inspection.
Given the inaccurate diagnosis, wasted time, and financial impact, I believe at minimum a partial refund of the diagnostic charges is justified. Customers should not be paying premium dealership prices for incorrect conclusions and unresolved issues.
I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before authorizing repairs here.
