  Had an appointment on 7/2/26 at 930a for a ball joint installation – we provided the actual part. I was given an estimate that this would take approximately 1.6 hours and cost approximately $264. I arrive at 930a and wait in the waiting room. Around 1130 an employee comes in to tell me it is taking a bit longer than expected. At 1220p my husband comes to pick me up because the vehicle is still not done and I need to leave. My husband speaks with the mechanic and looks at the vehicle himself. He even checks some of his own tools to see if he could help at all (allegedly the old ball joint would not come out). Due to the attempts/actions taken by the mechanic to remove the old ball joint, the entire lower control arm became ruined, and we were then told we needed to replace the entire lower control arm (honestly left with no option). I was in the waiting room for 3 hours and not one time did an employee come and give me details of how mangled the control arm had gotten while trying to remove the ball joint, or ask me at any point if they should continue since they were having a hard time removing the ball joint. At this point we say OK, just order lower control arm and replace it. We leave, and are promised our vehicle will be done today. At 547p, an employee calls me to let me know they got the lower control arm installed, and they are finishing up the alignment. We come to pick up the vehicle at 750p, and a different employee than the one we have been speaking to says no alignment has been done. At this point (nearly 11 hours in) I just need my vehicle back. We pay and leave with our vehicle. It is apparent that an alignment was NOT performed, and there is a very noticeable squeaking sound that occurs now. In addition to the issues caused by Mavis employees, we also paid nearly $270 MORE than anticipated for this whole debacle (the cost of the lower control arm raised our total to $533.93). I have attached photos of the control arm that was ruined for reference. Seems like no one communicated with us or with each other from an administrative standpoint, and also seems like their mechanic did not know what he was doing, and instead of stopping, just said eh...I'll keep hitting away.

  Not truthful, lie about things went in Ash for a tire rotation and have one of my tires checked. They did not do the rotation and all they can do is keep finding things wrong with the vehicle. Very disappointing in them went in for a front end. alignment and I was supposed to be part of my package and they said it never was put in there so they were gonna charge me. We’ll never go back there ever again because all they do is lie.

  I was going down the highway when my low tire light came on. Stopped at the first exit which was Gastonia. Went to Mavis Tires and they worked me right in. Great service then to top it off they said no charge. Changed my luck. Great service and people!

  I am absolutely annoyed. I made an appointment at 1p to get a wheel alignment. My son had to go to the desk after 2p to ask the status to find out that they hadn’t even pulled the car in to start the alignment. He wasn’t notified ahead of time that they were running behind or given the opportunity to reschedule. The person at the desk slightly apologized. Poor customer service! Never again. I’ll just go to Firestone or Pep Boys (ANYWHERE else for that matter) for my car service.

  Amazing service! Very helpful and accommodated a situation that went from one nail needing to be patched to discovering three nails and helping me navigate the decision to replace my tire with my spare. They worked with me, were patient and professional and not charge to replace my tire with my spare.
