  0 star / scam I had a very disappointing experience at this Valvoline location. Before they started my oil change, I specifically asked the technician to make sure all four skid plate bolts were tightened because they had failed to tighten one properly during my previous visit. He apologized and assured me that he would make sure it was done correctly. After leaving the shop, I had driven only about three miles when the skid plate came loose and started dragging on the road. I immediately returned, and the technician admitted that he had forgotten to tighten one of the bolts. Since they did not have the replacement part, they told me to buy one myself, promised to reimburse me, gave me the company’s email address, and wrote “Skid Plate need replaced” and “Claim” on my service receipt. I purchased the replacement part with my own money and returned to the shop. The employee took pictures of my receipts and told me there was no need to email them because he already had everything needed. A few days later, I called to follow up, and then I went back to the shop to speak with the manager, Christina, in person. Instead of honoring what her employee had promised, she spoke to me very rudely and refused to reimburse me. She told me they owed me nothing and basically told me to leave. I have the oil change receipt, the receipt for the replacement part, the handwritten note with the company’s email address, and the handwritten notes on my service receipt saying “Skid Plate need replaced” and “Claim.” Everyone can make a mistake, but refusing to take responsibility, breaking a promise made by your own employee, and treating a customer with disrespect is unacceptable. I will never return to this location and cannot recommend it to anyone.

  have mixed feelings about my experience at this location. Some of the staff were very friendly and attentive, checking in to see what I needed. However, the manager on duty that day was not as friendly as the main manager, which left a different impression. I’m honestly not sure I would return. One thing that really surprised me was seeing “severe oil leak” noted on my receipt—something no one mentioned to me during my visit. Then this morning, my maintenance light came on. I went back to the location and arrived before they opened. The first employee walked past me, and when I mentioned the issue, he told me to wait until they opened. The second employee also told me to wait, but once he realized I was returning because of a problem, he apologized. By then, the damage was already done. What makes this more disappointing is that one of the workers had stressed the importance of choosing a good company for oil changes because of the additives they use. I had just spent $325 the day before, only to feel dismissed when I came back with a concern. I understand everyone has a lot going on, but when customers spend their money, the least they deserve is to have their concerns acknowledged. I will say the main manager left a positive impression and genuinely seemed to care about customers. But overall, I think I’ll be looking for another location.

  The gentlemen at this location were professional. All my fluids were topped off without having to ask. They even remembered to put the sticker in my window to remind me of my next service💯. This was a biggie to me because, I couldn’t tell you when the last time I got that sticker even with me asking for it I wouldn’t always get it. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend.

  I’ve always come to Valvoline but just recently moved to the area. Came to the one in garner today, Keyes helped get Carmelo (my Camry) right with an oil change at a great price, and educated me on maintenance and follow up. Even though he didn’t let me know I had a booger in my nose, it’s all good though. Whole team is top tier, appreciate yall :))
