  Predatory Upsells & Gaslighting - Avoid for Inspections. If you are looking for an honest NC state car inspection in Fuquay-Varina, do not go to Grease Monkey. I brought my vehicle here for a routine annual car inspection and they failed me, claiming my wiper blades were "scratchy." When I questioned this, the mechanic took me out to my car. He turned the wipers on, literally admitted he couldn’t hear anything, and told me to go back to the lobby. However, after he went and "talked to his boss," he suddenly changed his story and claimed it was failing. They took me out to the car a second time. Even though there was absolutely zero noise, they tried to gaslight and bully me into believing the wipers were bad so I would pay for their overpriced replacements on the spot. I refused the high-pressure upsell, paid the inspection fee, and drove directly to another local auto repair shop in town. My car passed the North Carolina state inspection at the second mechanic immediately, with zero issues. Based on my experience, the management here forces their mechanics to fake safety failures to squeeze customers for extra money. If you need a trustworthy auto shop without manipulative tactics, take your business elsewhere. I have the receipts from both shops to prove exactly when this happened.

  The guys here were great as usual. Friendly and helpful. Nick was our tech, he greeted us quickly, friendly, and got us squared away. Their prices are comparable to pretty much all the shops in the immediate area, but we like service we get here.

  A great place with great service! They do not try to upsell. They provide you the service that you’re requesting and they are quick. Shaw was very polite, respectful, and efficient! I will definitely be back

  Came here for the first time for an inspection and oil change. Declined the oil cleaning service. 45 minutes later they are done and I was charged for the declined service and they forgot to do the inspection. They offer to do the inspection for free which I do appreciate, but it took almost 90 minutes to finish the state inspection. Recognize it's a dirty job, but my car interior also had grease marks when done. Appreciate the employee trying to make things right, but a dirty car and over 2 hours for an oil change and inspection is ridiculous when I arrived to an empty bay.

  Great experience at Grease Monkey with Nick and Connor! The team worked quickly and efficiently. Everyone was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. It's nice to find a shop that communicates clearly and treats customers with respect. I'll definitely be back for future service needs. Highly recommend!
