I went in at 10:39 last Monday to pick up rental arranged by State Farm Insurance. The clerk, who claims to be branch manager, told me he rented my car because I didn’t confirm or show up on time at 8:30. I told him that I was never told by anyone that I needed to confirm. And my appointment was for 10:30, not 8:30. He obviously made a mistake, it’s not the end of the world! I asked him if he was getting any more cars in today or tomorrow. I got a maybe. I asked if he could just let me know when one comes in. Apparently that was a challenge to his authority. He told me I could take a Dodge Durango or nothing. Told him I was supposed to get a luxury sedan but all I am asking for is a small car. I asked to speak to his manager.I didn’t lose it when he looked over my head and said,”next “ loudly. Or when he told me he didn’t have a manager. Not only did he blame me that he gave my car away, he was also very arrogant and unhelpful. It was when he gave me his business card and said here’s my number, I am the manager. Then I pick up his cards on the counter and threw all of them at him and probably started with the profanity then. I had already been waiting about 15 minutes, my transportation was gone, and I watched him rent a hybrid to the woman in front of me. I am usually much nicer. I worked retail management and I sympathize with people dealing with the public. He didn’t sympathize with the 60 year old woman with the cane. At some point he came from behind the counter. He’s several inches taller than I and he was standing in my personal space. I slammed my cane down on the floor and he moved. I did it a few more times and he got behind the counter. He tells me to leave, that I will never rent a car there, and he’s calling the police. I told him to go ahead and call them and what were you going to tell them, that I hurt your feelings? He said I hit him with the cane. I did not. And he didn’t call the police either. After several phone calls , supposedly with an Enterprise manager, we agree that it is best I don’t go back. Both Enterprise and State Farm instructed me to go back. The reservation was made in my husband’s name so that Cameron wouldn’t be scared by the middle aged woman on disability. Cameron refused to rent him a car. He said everyone in my family is banned. My husband followed him out the enterprise door and I could see them talking. I observed my husband walking several feet away and I thought they were looking for the car. Then he walked straight to my car at the far side of the lot and we left. My husband is 70 years old and also several inches shorter than Cameron. His hands were in his pockets. We drove home and immediately heard a call to Hendricks Enterprise for a threatening man who may be hiding in the bushes. This was how my husband was described. He never used profanity. He never raised his voice. He’s a calm person and never acts out in anger. He was there because at least three different people said to go there. I was banned because Cameron is sensitive and enjoys his little bit of power. I do not recommend this branch and would suggest a friend drive you somewhere else. I would suggest to Enterprise and evaluate how many times he has problems with customers and communication. Apparently the promises made were just to get me off the phone. Ageism? A clerk with PTSD? Not worth finding out!

This manager has a huge EGO; I would recommend he be re-trained to understand just because a customer voices their opinion about how they handled a situation you don’t go straight to “I’m going to cancel your reservation”. As an individual I would never be rude if someone from the public that’s a customer “I RENT A LOT FROM ENTERPRISE” state how they feel on not being able to come & get a vehicle that was reserved 48 hours prior to pick up but I say all this to say we should all be mindful on how you treat people because you just never know how or if you ever cross that person’s path again. I try my best to be a good person even when I might be upset its respect within anything, God bless!

I had one of the worst experiences with Enterprise. I was given a Nissan that was already scratched and dented at pickup, despite the fact that I have three kids in car seats and needed a safe, reliable vehicle.
I was told they would call me when another vehicle became available, but that never happened. The entire time I had the car, the check engine light and oil change light were on, which made me feel unsafe driving my children around.
When I raised concerns, I was told there were no other vehicles available. Now, after I complained about the experience, I received a call accusing me of causing damage that was already on the vehicle when I received it.
This feels extremely unprofessional and, frankly, retaliatory. I am paying out of pocket for this rental and expected a safe, properly maintained vehicle and honest service.
This experience has been disappointing from start to finish, and I would strongly advise others to thoroughly document the condition of their rental before leaving the lot.
