  Quoted me over $2,000 for work I got done elsewhere for $300. I’m writing this review a year later, and have had no issues with the $300 work that was done, so don’t let them tell you they charge a premium for premium service. They charge a premium for the same service that any other mechanic can give. Also, they told me they left the keys in the car for the tow truck to come get my car after closing, but the tow truck showed up and there were in fact no keys. They didn’t care because they weren’t the ones that had to pay for said tow truck to come out twice. I guess they were mad I was taking my car somewhere more reasonably priced. They then offered me a free oil change as a courtesy for their negligence. Then when I came to use the free oil change, they suddenly had no notation of that in the computer. The handwritten note on a business card by their technician was challenged with the reasoning of “anyone could have written that.” I guess maybe give out official coupons when you fail your customers then? It took some fighting, but I got my free oil change. Wouldn’t trust these guys to do anything. Very slimy and definitely will try to take advantage of you financially if you’re a woman!

  I am very disappointed with my experience at Carmedix. This was my first visit, and it did not go well. In the morning, an employee told me the repair for my car would cost about $1,060. However, when I returned in the evening to move forward with the repair, I was suddenly quoted $1,800 for the same work. Before coming to Carmedix, I had already received a quote from another shop for about $1,500, and that quote included rear brake drums, brake hardware, brake shoes, front brake pads, rotors, and axle work. Carmedix wanted $1,800 for only the front brake pads, front rotors, and CV axle replacement, without the additional rear brake work. The inconsistent pricing and lack of transparency were very frustrating. I felt misled, and I cannot recommend a shop that changes the price so dramatically within the same day. Please be careful and make sure you get a written estimate before agreeing to any repairs.

  Booked an oil change after receiving a coupon in the mail. I figured I would give them a shot after seeing several positive reviews, and the offer was great. The service was quick and easy. I was in an out in 45 minutes. The comments about upselling are true. It's not a big deal to me, but be prepared to deal with it at checkout. Also, if you own a sports car or modified vehicle, beware. I heard an employee revving my vehicle's engine in the back at least a few times, which speaks volumes to how the value and treat customers' cars.

  Refused service unless given personal info. Had me wait an hour before trying to upsell me 200 dollars worth of services I didn't need. At least the service was done for a lower price... you get what you pay for.

  I had a great experience at Carmedix! I was originally quoted for a couple of repairs, but after taking another look and thinking through the issue with my car, the team suggested I first go to AAA to have my battery replaced under warranty. It would have been easy for Carmedix to move forward with the originally suggested repairs, but instead they helped me do what made the most sense for my car (and save money!). In the auto industry, that level of honesty and integrity is rare. A huge thank you to both Jaylen and Barry for all of their help. I appreciate the time and effort they put into making sure I had a positive experience..
