  Been a loyal NTB customer since forever so I've tried to be patient with Ryan and his crew since May. One experience they forgot to torque my lugs thankfully my Manassas NTB crew caught it before I hit the road, again. 2nd experience took my van in for a grinding sound and it was diagnosed as rotors, months later the grinding still happens after 50- 100 miles. 3rd and final experience with this location Scheduled to get a new set of tires with alignment with an online number that doesn't communicate with the local location. Even after communicating with Ryan that i wanted both the tires and alignment, the work order showed customer rejected the alignment. Got scheduled to get it done the next day at 10:00am only to be told that 4 customers were ahead of me who actually bought tires and alignment. Huh??? ... went down the street to Meineke. In and out right away. Won't be going back to Mavis Clayton.

  Pulling up, we were met by Jade, who was immediately very friendly, kind, welcoming, and honest! She was straightforward about how long it would be before they were able to take a look at my tire. We decided to wait the 1–2 hours, and it was well worth it! (It ended up only being about an hour wait) They got my tire patched in a very timely manner and even took the time to make sure all of my tires were at the correct pressure. I could immediately feel the difference while driving. Jade also took the time to answer a few questions I had about my tire pressure sensor light, which I really appreciated. The rest of the team members were also all very friendly and were happy to answer any questions. I will definitely be back for any future needs and will recommend them to my family and friends. Thank you so much Jade and team!

  I brought my vehicle to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Clayton, NC, for a slow leak in the rear passenger-side tire. The assistant manager, Moses Santiago, got me out of there in just 30 minutes. Moses coordinated the repair, explained that a small, tack-sized nail caused the leak, and provided the service free of charge. My only critique—for mechanics in general—is that it should be standard protocol to show the customer the object that caused the damage. Overall, it was excellent service, and assuming the repair holds up, I will definitely be back.

  I had such a great experience at Mavis! Moses was absolutely wonderful. I came in with a flat tire, and even though they were extremely busy, he made sure I was taken care of and got my tire fixed in a timely manner. What really stood out was how kind, professional, and honest the staff was. It can be hard to find a place you truly feel you can trust with your car, but this is definitely one of them. Moses went above and beyond, and I really appreciate the excellent service. Best place for sure! I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending Mavis to others!

  I had made an appointment for 3pm for two tires and ordered the two tires through the website. I had ordered two tires for the front of my car because we definitely knew we needed one replaced due to it being worn from the car not being realigned after work was done at the car dealership. When I arrived at the appointment I was told it was going to be 1 1/2 - 2hrs because they were very understaffed. I get it, things happen. I said that was fine and went to wait in the waiting area. About 15-20 minutes later, may have even been 30 minutes, the young woman working the desk comes by to tell me I needed four tires, not two. She said they had really low tread and dry rot. Two of the tires did not seem to have really low tread, but okay. I had to get the car inspected which I know I had mentioned to her because I asked if they did inspections. When she was showing me the dry rot on the tires, she asked me what year the car was again because apparently she forgot. I told her 2024 to which she then said "well, you've got a tire on here from 2023" making it seem as if the dealership sold me a brand new car with a used tire. I learned later in my own research that just because the tire was manufactured in 2023 doesn't mean it was used. She informed me that they did not have four of the tires I had ordered, but they did have four of another set of tires that were also 40,000 mile tires. She never informed me that these tires were clearance tires. I also was not given the clearance price because I did not order them online, despite ordering the original tires online. A few days later I discovered the tires I got were the ones I avoided ordering online because they didn't seem like they were that great. I called my husband to let him know and since we needed to get the car inspected, we agreed. At this time, I also asked her if it was still going to be 2 hrs and she stated it should be. Sometime around 5pm (2 hr mark) she comes by to tell me the tires were on the car and my car was the next car for wheel alignment. I continue to wait. Around 5:45 or so, frustrated from waiting longer than planned I finally asked the manager how much longer. He seemed annoyed that I was annoyed at this point and goes to check. He comes back and says the 2 hr estimate was for 2 tires and an alignment. I then told him I asked the woman if it was still going to be 2 hrs when we changed the service from 2 tires to 4 tires and was told yes. There were several times when my car was there that it looked like no one was doing anything to it. I understand being understaffed and I can have a lot of patience, however appointments should be completed before walk-ins or a website should limit the amount of appointments being made if a facility is understaffed. The only nice thing they did for the inconvenience was let me use a phone charger since my phone had died during my 3+ hr wait. After I expressed my frustration to the manger, my car was suddenly done a few minutes after 6pm. The lack of communication throughout the 3 hour wait, being sold tires I didn't originally want, the desk person trying to dupe me with the year of one of my tires, making it seem like it was a used tired, and the manager being annoyed that I was frustrated after waiting well beyond what I was told means we will not be back to this business and we will not recommend it to anyone either, which is a shame as we never had any issues with Mavis when we lived in NY.
