  Overall, a poor rental experience. I was told at the counter that they would just charge $3.18 per gallon if I brought the car back not full. Instead, I was charged the standard gas fill up fee that all rental companies charge that they claim they do not do. The car did not come with a full tank of gas, but I was on a time crunch and could not change cars. On top of that, the customer service was awful to work with on the phone. I tried to work out a credit with them and they did not even offer a full credit for the miscommunication about gas. This was the first time I rented with Sixt and I would never rent with Sixt again after this terrible experience.

  Booked a rental to come home and renew my drivers license. They refused to rent on the grounds that it would expire. This is totally reasonable. What I thought was completely unacceptable and borderline criminal was refusing any type of refund whatsoever. I will never use sixt for a rental again. Gave me zero options, hung me out to dry, and kept my money. Criminals.

  Meckhi was great at the counter! Painless process, fast, and free upgrade even. He made an otherwise very poor CLT experience much better. Highly recommend!

  I travel through Charlotte often for business and always choose SIXT. The staff is consistently friendly, professional, and accommodating. Even when the airport is hectic, their process is smooth, the lines are usually the shortest, and the app makes pickup incredibly easy. I’ve rented here many times and the experience is always excellent. Highly recommend for anyone traveling through Charlotte, whether for business or pleasure.

  The pickup process for our rental car was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, things became questionable afterward. When we received the vehicle on the 06/12/2026, the fuel gauge was clearly at 7/8 full, not completely full. Today, while going through my emails, I found a message from Sixt stating that the car was at 8/8 full when it was handed over to us. It feels unfair to try and charge us $88 based on incorrect fuel information. This has definitely been a learning experience. In the future, I will be taking detailed photos and videos of everything before accepting a rental car and again when returning it. Thankfully, I have video evidence showing the condition of the vehicle at drop-off. It's disappointing because the rental started off on a positive note. Now I'm left wondering what other charges might appear. Customers should not have to worry about being short-changed or disputing inaccurate records. Transparency and accuracy are essential when renting a vehicle.
