  While my experience start off Rocky because of the bad experience I had at another shop. My experience at the university shop was turned around and became went from bad to good to great.

  I’ve had a series of unfortunate car troubles this summer and every time I’ve come to this Mavis they’ve been incredibly helpful, recommended solutions rather than tried to upcharge me, and have kept me coming back. As someone new to the city, I was worried about coming to a mechanic I didn’t know or yet trust, but the folks here have earned my trust and made me a loyal Mavis customer. Absolutely recommend stopping by.

  I've used Mavis on a couple of occasions. This Mavis in particular was horrible. I went in for brakes, new rotors and a wheel alignment. I was there with an appointment at 830am, I didn't leave til almost 2pm. That was only part of the issue, the major issue was they me drive off without checking my vehicle. So I drove off only to return minutes later because they forgot to put a part on my brakes, which caused my vehicle to make a very loud noise. Returned my vehicle only to have to have the issue resolved. Brad gave me 50 percent off an oil change for the inconvenience. Thanks for the nothing!

  Really great service offered to assist me before I even knew what the problem was… I was sitting in my car annoyed and confused…turned out i needed an oil change and some air in 2 tires plus a new tire 😌 i highly recommend go to mavis tire & brakes on university city blvd

  I used to work here 20 years ago, so I figured Id come back to my old shop for 2 tires and an alignment. first, they canceled my appointment, 2 different times, day-of but I didn't particularly mind.. cause things happen. but... a few months later, Im at home doing my brakes, and each and every lug nut on my tires is completely jammed tight with an airgun, no torque wrench. Im over here sweating and cursing just trying to get a single lug nut off. Im kicking the crossbar and it barely brakes free. I will never be coming back here, and will make sure anyone I talk to gets the same talk. pure garbage
