Dishonest service Reserved online for an oil change, they immediately called to confirm appointment at 9am. They took the keys and we waited. Only to find out there are still 7 people ahead of us, beats the purpose of reserving an appointment when they make you wait for hours. It’s already past 11am and we are still currently waiting for them to even start working on our car. Wasted our time waiting, if they were honest with their online appointments, we could have avoided this problem. My advice, don’t do online reservations, they will lie to you. (Unconfirmed but it was said those on the phone people get commissions so they just tell you what you want so you still come and wait for hours.) Just go somewhere else where they value your time and do business with integrity.

I had a great experience at Mavis Tires. They replaced my brakes and rotors at a very reasonable price, and the work was completed in a timely manner. The staff was professional, efficient, and made the whole process easy. I would definitely recommend Mavis to anyone looking for quality service at a fair price.

After 3 visits to this location I still had a squeaky car. I even provided a video to the store manager Kevin at one appt. Which I was told after the appt they didn’t hear anything as I pulled out of the Davis Lake location with squeaky brakes. The service is flat, the technicians are either not good or don't care, either way it's a representation of leadership. BUT there is one diamond in the rough...BRANDY. After I left this location (disappointed) I decided to try a different Mavis. At the Concord location Brandy assisted me with white glove service. She drove the car, confirmed the noise, checked all the brakes and rotors, changed the caliber pins. After the squeaking didn’t stop she researched the pads. She changed the front rotors and brakes. Her knowledge was spot on of the ceramic pads were not quality. After her taking the time to assist me and RESOLVE my issue I'm very pleased. I will continue to be a Mavis customer at Concord NOT Davis Lake unless Brandy is overseeing this Davis Lake store. Davis Lake needs new management.

Very very scammy. I initially came to Mavis 3 weeks ago because I had a flat on a Saturday night and they were the only local tire store open on Sunday morning. Bought 2 StarFire Solaris because they were the only tires they had in stock for my truck. Never heard of them before, they were quoted to me at $180-something per tire which I thought was high for an offbrand tire but I needed them that day. This week I decided to replace the rest of my tires and went to the Mavis website to buy the tires and schedule installation. The Solaris I was sold earlier in the month was not available through the website, and I could see that the StarFire brand was one of the cheapest they offered. I opted for 3 Firestone tires at a cost of $170.99 each plus $59.97 for balancing and free installation. I used the Mavis website and put in year/make/model/trim to select the tires (I was not asked for wheel size). I made the reservation on Wednesday for 8am Saturday appointment. I was mailed a confirmation for my order and appointment which confirmed the total price for my order of $572.94 less discount plus tax & fees. When I checked in for my appointment I was told my total would be $613.50. After waiting 90 minutes, the woman working the counter told me the tires I had ordered were the wrong size. I told her I had selected by answering the questions on their website and she said that they had already had 2 other people in the past 2 days with the same issue and that there was a problem with their website. She said they had the Solaris I got last time available and they could put those on for the same price as the Firestones. I told I couldn’t find those tires on the website and she said that was because they were no longer going to carry those tires and they were trying to get rid of them. I told her I did not want the Solaris, and that I wanted to stick with the Firestones and I could come back the following weekend to give them time to order them. She said a nearby store had Laredos available in the right size and she could go get them. I asked what the price difference was between the Firestones and the Laredos and she said they could make it work, which I took to mean the Laredos were a higher priced tire but that they would do them for the same price as the ones I had ordered. I agreed to this. As I was waiting another 2 hours, I went back to the website and did a price comparison between the Firestones and the Laredos and found the ones I had ordered were $20 higher than the ones I was getting. When I went to check out, I told them that I had checked the website and found that these tires were $20 cheaper. The man said yes to that, then told me my total due was more than $100 higher than what it was when I checked in. I explained how that did not make sense, the prices that I had booked at, and the prices I had seen online. He said that was “the in-store” price and he couldn’t control the pricing. They also charged me $74.97 for balancing versus the booked price of $59.97 and labor cost of $23.98 versus free installation. He did take off $25.00 as a “coupon”. Predatory and deceptive pricing is illegal and I will be reporting this situation to state authorities.
