Needed a new transmission in my work vehicle. Got it swapped and in 3 days I had my vehicle back that drives like new. Great quick service.

Above and Beyond Service - Jason is the Man! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I can’t say enough about Jason and the team at Cottman Transmission - they are truly amazing! My car didn’t come in with a simple issue - it came in as basically a shell - engine locked up, battery ENTIRELY dead. I was expecting a nightmare. Instead, Jason took over and handled everything without hesitation. Working with Jason was awesome. He is honest, straightforward, and genuinely cares. He made my (VERY stressful) situation feel manageable, and he moved fast - I had my car back in just a few days (still amazes me). Anyway, I initially thought they just repaired transmissions, so when my friend told me about them, I was skeptical. Turns out that's just a fraction of what they do. They do it all - from oil change to engine. Whatever it is, they'll figure it out - and fix THAT too - I'm going back for other "issues" (was sold a lemon) next week. If you're in (or near) Charlotte and looking for someone you an trust with your car, Cottman is it! Thank you for everything, guys!

NOW I HAVE TO BRING MY CAR TO ANOTHER SHOP TO FIX WHAT I NEVER HAD. I PROBABLY DIDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH MY TRANSMISSION, ITS HEAD-GASKET I NEED ALONG. THIS PLACE JUST WANT TO DO TRANSMISSION AND GET FAST CASH AND SEND TO GENRAL SHOP ANY OTHER PROBLEM THEY MAKE, THEY OVERPRICE TOO. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND ANY ONE My 2015 Nissan Pathfinder was experiencing shuddering and misfires on cylinder 1 with code P0301, but without illumination of the check engine light.Following a few hours, I received a call from Manager Jason Rhoades, who informed me that my vehicle required transmission repair and replacement of the front left and right wheel bearings, with an estimated cost of $7,336.26, excluding labor costs for the wheel bearings, but with expensive parts. Jason Rhoades also mentioned that my vehicle had a misfire on cylinder 1, but it was not a hard code. After reviewing their Google reviews and years of service, I trusted them with my vehicle and authorized the repairs. Jason Rhoades called me to inform that the transmission repair was complete, but they were unable to reprogram the vehicle due to the misfire issue. I informed him that I had already replaced the spark plug and still had the original, which I offered to provide if needed. Subsequently, I purchased the old spark plug to facilitate the swap. Jason Rhoades called to inform me that my vehicle was ready for pickup, and they had installed a new set of spark plugs without my authorization, stating that I had used cheap parts, and added an additional $162 for the parts. Upon picking up my vehicle that day, I noticed that the check engine light was illuminated, and I informed Mechanic Jason. He ran the code reader and found two new codes, P0031 and P1148 oxygen sensor, which I had never seen before on my vehicle. Jason advised my wife and me that we needed to drive the vehicle 300-500 miles to break in the new transmission. I called them and informed Jason, the Manager, that I would bring the vehicle back the following day, as it was still shuddering and the check engine light was still illuminated. after Jason, the Mechanic, checked the codes, he informed me that I probably needed an ignition coil or mass airflow sensor, recommending that I replace the ignition coil first. I replaced the ignition coil at an additional cost of $220, but it did not resolve the issue. Jason advised me to drive the vehicle over 500 miles to allow the computer to reprogram the new parts. After driving over 500 miles, I returned the vehicle, still experiencing issues with the check engine light and excessive gas consumption with exhaust smoke. Jason, the Manager, suggested replacing the spark plugs again and the upper gasket. Following this repair, the engine light ceased to function, and he informed me that I needed to visit a general shop to address the issue. However, I had not experienced this problem before the transmission repair, and I suspect that they may have caused the issue or that the transmission is defective. Jason became agitated, using profanity and yelling at me. I am now forced to bring my vehicle to another shop to repair issues that I did not have previously. It appears that I may not have had any problems with my transmission, but rather a head-gasket issue. This establishment seems to be focused on performing transmission repairs to obtain quick cash, and their prices are excessive. I will never return to this shop or recommend it to anyone.

My Nissan Juke transmission needed to be replaced, and Cottman was highly recommended. They were able to setup towing for my vehicle. Jason was very patient and helpful. Within a short period of time he gave me an estimate that was quite reasonable. He helped us where he could and I greatly appreciate that.
