    My experience with the Alamo rental service out of the Charlotte airport was not the best. The service counter lady was good and helpful, the ease of picking up and returning the car was good, the option to pick a car is very nice; however, the car I chose ended up being filthy. In the dark parking garage, I did not see the layers of scum that were left on the inside of the windshield and dash until I was outside. It looked like someone had sneezed all over the drivers side and there was a layer of something gross on the inside of the windshield, the dash, and the gauges. I had to stop and purchase window wipes to clean the scum off the windshield myself so that it did not impair my view. The center console was also filthy - there were crumbs and debris in the gear shifter and other crevices. It appeared that whoever was in charge of cleaning the car only did a quick vacuum, but did not get into crevices or wipe down any surfaces. I worried about the sanitation of the vehicle. Finally, but not as critical, the touchscreen for the media screen rarely worked. Seemed to work when I first connected and set my GPS route, but then it never worked during my drives, and I had to figure out how to navigate the functions using the dials in the center console, which was not safe. So while the service counter and pick up and return were fine, the car itself was awful.

    My rental was due back at 6pm. And I called to see how much it will charge me for extending the rental to the next day at noon. The guy Kevin told me nothing. I said wonderful and he extended my reservation until the next day. Well Lord and behold, I get an additional charge for $113 on my charge card. They charged me for that extra time. Called customer service and the lady was wonderful but she could not credit me because If she adjust the reservation to give me the credit, it was gonna be showing that I owe more money. So she had to send it over so I am waiting to see if I will be credited the $113. I will say this we got a new Chrysler minivan in the van was a wonderful drive. Now the car was a little dirty when we got it. I had to vacuum it out and wipe the seats down. It looks like the car wasn’t washed.

    Last minute car rental and it was such an enjoyable moment. Applied through booking.com and was easy. Customer service at counter was very pleasant and informative. Devon, who connected me with the vehicle, was exceptionally hospitable. I did not realize that I would choose the vehicle myself. When I saw my options it made me anxiously excited but it was a no brainer!! I PICKED THE JEEP RUBICON! MY DREAM WHIP!! And Devon was encouraging that I should ride out the holiday in style. My family and I enjoyed the comfort and class for the length of the rental. We were ballin on a budget!!🤣🤣And the return process was easy. Thanks Alamo for being part of memorable memories for me.

    Rented from Alamo at the Charlotte airport and waited in a massive line with one representative while the enterprise line next to us zipped through with 4 workers. No problem getting our car after it was finally our turn, they had a handful of midsize suv to choose from so we took a Hyundai Tucson and hit the road for 4 hours to Hilton Head. We hated the drive so we looked into the option of changing our return flight to the local airport and dropping the car off there. This is the main reason for 3 stars: told on day one we could do that no charge, so we changed our flights and called back to change the car drop off and were told it was $267. Why? “It just fluctuates, it might have been no charge yesterday but now it’s $267” Ok can you see the notes from our call yesterday? “No notes were left” Call the next day, same story. Direct messages were sent to the social media accounts and we are told the person at the airport counter on drop off is the only one with authority to drop this charge. We go to drop off the car ready to show all our records of phone calls and messages and the worker simply says “no it shows you don’t owe us anything” 3 stars because it worked out fine but was an absolutely terrible series of hassles and misinformation along the way. I will be thinking twice before booking Alamo again.

    Extremely frustrated and annoyed by the customer service at this branch. We picked up our reservation this morning at Alamo (booked through Costco where you get a free additional driver). The reservation was under my fiance name and when we got to the counter we both presented our drivers licenses, but I was told they didn't need mine to add an additional driver. When I pushed the issue saying in the past I have always had to show my ID I got the response "I have been doing this 30+ years, are you questioning me?" I immediately felt super uncomfortable and backed down to left her move forward with the rental. Later (after driving off) I had a chance to read the contract and there was very obvious language that no additional drivers can driver the car. This was confirmed through an infuriating 45 minute conversation with the the customer support line. So now we have to go an hour out of our way to go back into a Alamo location to rectify this issue. Needless to say Alamo has lost all of our future business. Do not believe anything the reps say at the counter. Absolute waste of time and extremely infuriating experience. I have never felt so belittled by any company rep as I did today.
