I went to another location that was close by and they were so helpful with testing my battery. I ensured they could install since I am not able to since I am not home. He waited to charge me to make sure they had the battery in stock and unfortunately didn’t. This is how I needed up at this location. He called for me to make sure they had one and I asked if I could pay and just have it installed there. Of course he said that the battery should be able to be installed. I drove to the location that I am leaving this review for and from the empty store to the greeting I knew it was going to be interesting. I told the guy I was here for the battery that we called about. He walked the front looking for it. Once he found it, he sits in on the counter and says “here you go”. I looked at him and he asked if something was wrong. I asked if he could install. He looked like I inconvenienced him but checked the system to see. He said he could and installed. I’m not asking for over the top customer service but at least from hi to bye make the customer feel welcomed. Hoping to not need a auto store for the rest of my trip but guarantee it will not be at this location. No matter how convenient or close to my accommodations.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
