I travel a lot and frequently rent cars. My local Enterprise on Franklin Street is absolutely phenomenal. I have received the best customer service from this location and recommend it to everyone I know!

Very disappointing experience at the Enterprise location on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill NC today July 1st 2026.
I reserved a 7-seat vehicle through the Booking app after logging into my account, so my correct phone number and email address were already associated with the reservation.
When I arrived this morning, I completed the paperwork and provided my credit card, which was charged more than $300 as a deposit. Only after all of this, the employee took the keys and told me that they did not have the 7-seat vehicle I had reserved. She offered me a 5-seat car instead, even though I specifically needed seating for seven people.
I was told that they had tried to call a phone number listed on the reservation, but it was not a number I recognize. No one contacted me through the Booking app or by email, despite that information being available with my reservation. I also saw several 7-seat minivans at the location, which made the situation even more confusing.
Because a 5-seat car did not meet my needs, I had to postpone my trip. What was most disappointing was the lack of apology, empathy, or effort to find a solution. A reservation for a specific vehicle size should not be treated as optional, especially when customers are relying on it for travel plans.
Enterprise needs to improve both its communication process and customer-service training. Customers should be notified well in advance when a reserved vehicle is unavailable, not after paperwork is completed and a deposit has already been charged.
I had a good experience with them. Booked a 3 row SUV for the next day. Unfortunately they called the next day to say that it wasn’t available. But they worked hard calling around various locations and eventually got me the vehicle that I needed.

Polite employees and quick rental. Unfortunately it seems they didn't check the car before renting it. I had a previous renters paperwork on the dash and it was about 3/8 of a tank short of full. But I was 15 minutes into a long drive before I figured it out.
