Called 3 times beforehand to confirm they could replace my brake master cylinder, got a quote. Arrived and was told they don’t work/specialize in this area. They offered to arrange a tow to another shop (very nice of them)— but after 30 minutes of waiting, I was told to call my own tow truck since they had questions about my car they never asked while I sat there. Staff was cursing openly in the shop, and at one point the receptionist muttered to herself, wishing another caller would just hang up instead of answering. Felt understaffed and disorganized. 1.5 hours wasted at the shop, on top of driving there with unreliable brakes. Confirm everything in writing before coming here.

I pulled in the parking lot just before closing thinking I would not be able to get my tire fixed. When I walked in Amaya Wallace greeted me with a smile and assured me they would help me out. Keith Williams was the technician that worked on my car. They were able to fix the problem and did not charge me. They could have turned me down at closing time but decided to help. I felt they were through even when they were ready to go home. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!!!!

We had such a great experience at Mavis. We originally went to another tire shop in the area first (Atlantic Tire) and were quoted almost double what we ended up paying here, so we decided to get a second opinion. I’m so glad we did!!
Stacy was amazing from the start. She gave us upfront pricing, threw in discounts for almost everything we needed, and even added new front and back wiper blades for free. She was so friendly and never made us feel pressured into anything.
Keith worked on our car and had everything finished by the end of the day, which was way faster than we expected! When we picked it up, Tim walked us through the bill, answered all of our questions, and made sure we understood everything.
Everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind and helpful, and the whole process was so much less stressful than we expected. It’s not often you leave an auto shop feeling like people actually cared about helping you instead of just selling you something. We’ll definitely be back the next time we need work done!
Shoutout to Stacy, Tim, and Keith for the incredible service & support!

The manager, Stacy, was fantastic to work with—she kept me informed every step of the way and made sure everything went smoothly. I brought my 2008 Toyota Sienna to Mavis for an oil change and inspection. During that visit, I was advised to replace the lower control arm, and I approved the repair, which cost approximately $2,300.
Prior to this incident, I had generally positive experiences with routine maintenance and smaller repairs at this location. Because of those experiences, I trusted their recommendation and authorized the repair.
Prior to the lower control arm replacement, the vehicle was drivable and had no transmission symptoms. Within a few miles after the repair, the vehicle developed transmission problems and became inoperable. The vehicle was towed back to Mavis and remained there for more than two weeks while the issue was being evaluated.
During that time, I repeatedly reported the transmission problems but was advised that the repair could not have affected the transmission and that the failure was likely due to the vehicle's age and mileage.
After that period, Mavis arranged for the vehicle to be taken to another repair facility for diagnosis. The vehicle was received in a disabled condition, and the inspection documented that the transmission oil pan had been pushed against the transmission filter sump, restricting fluid flow and causing transmission damage. The diagnosis and findings were documented before any repair work was performed.
An initial transmission fluid and filter service was then performed in an attempt to resolve the issue without replacing the transmission. This repair attempt was approved and paid for by Mavis. Unfortunately, it did not resolve the problem. The transmission symptoms returned within approximately 20 miles, the vehicle became inoperable again, and a second tow was required.
The vehicle now requires transmission replacement. I provided Mavis with diagnostic reports, photographs, repair estimates, and receipts. Despite the documentation and timeline of events, responsibility for the damage was denied and no resolution was offered.
After weeks of delays and disputes regarding responsibility, Mavis offered to refund the approximately $2,300 lower control arm repair. While I appreciated the offer, it did not address the transmission damage, towing expenses, or the cost of restoring the vehicle to an operable condition. The vehicle still requires a used transmission replacement estimated at $4,699.92.
What disappointed me most was the difference in how the situation was handled once a significant repair-related issue arose. While my previous experiences with routine maintenance had been positive, this matter involved extended delays, disputes over responsibility, and more than a month without my vehicle.
After exhausting my attempts to resolve the matter directly, I filed a BBB complaint and am pursuing other available remedies. I am sharing my experience so that others can make informed decisions.
One more thing, I called to Mavis Customer Service for over 1 month already. It is all end up going to the same regional manager and still with no proper resolution and very long delay.
