  I am writing this review on behalf of a friend that does not have a google account. Today my friend bought a Slime Valve Fishing Tool, which has a 1 year warranty against defects. This tool immediately broke as he started to use it -- he is well-versed on tire repair and how these tools work. He returned the tool immediately as defective... with his receipt ... and the staff behind the counter refused to refund his money because the tool had been taken out of the original packaging. He ultimately demanded the staff member call the actual store manager -- the staff eventually did, the manager told the staff member to refund the money ... and still the staff member argued about it because the tool was out of the original packaging. Advance Auto Parts -- how is this OK? How is this customer service when a part has a stated 1 year warranty against defects? How can your staff use the statement of "The item must be returned UNOPENED in it's original packaging" when you are talking about a defective item? Make it make sense, please. As I was coming online to leave this review, I noticed that another customer noted a similar problem with a return not that long ago. So what happened to my friend is not just a one-off incident but is a systemic problem at your store. My friend left your store and went immediately to O'Reilly Auto Parts. He explained what happened at your store and was assured that if there was any problem with the tool he bought from them that they would gladly exchange the tool or refund his money. This valve fishing tool was a $7 tool. Here is the result of your mishandling of this small-dollar item return. I doubt that my friend will go back to another Advanced Auto for any of his car or truck needs ... and he does a lot of his own repairs. I have been a fan of Advanced Auto in the past -- but I will also take my business elsewhere. Do better, Advance Auto.

  Had a great experience yesterday at this location. Looks like they're working to fix the location. Everyone was working putting out products and changing things.

  Went and purchased a cell phone holder for vehicle. The product is flimsy and honestly seems not welled made. I try to return product because I feel it is defective. I was informed by GM that since the top of the lid is a little ripped they can not take product back. The GM was polite and not argumentative. My issue it not with the staff. I looked on receipt and it says 1 YR replacement if defective. Not 1YR replacement if defective and box isn't ripped. What happens if I would of bought rotors and they were warped? No replacement because I ripped the plastic off them when I took them out of box? Advance has always been my go to for anything car related. I will literally drive by other parts stores to give my buisness to them. I have used them for my personal vehicles and commerical parts. But today has proved they have certainly turned an eye away from customer service.

  I was in this location today, and Jeffery (who is normally at Glenwood) and Cassie were both super kind and helpful. The particular oil I use wasn't in stock, but he helped me find a solid alternative and looked up everything to be sure it would be the best for my car. Very friendly and helpful! :)

  I came in twice and the employees gave me wrong information on my car. And said they couldn't complete a task that a different store could. Unknowledgeable and unhelpful
