Hello, I'm sorry to say that the experience I had at Mr.Tire here in Burlington NC was the worst experience I've ever had dealing with any company for service. I brought my 1998 Chevy Silverado in for a flat tire repair. The tire that needed repair was in the back or my truck bed. I told the person at the front desk to repair the tire in the truck bed and put it on the right rear side of the truck. That was done. As the person called me to pay for the repair, he asked me if I had problems with my steering column? I replied no. He then said the housing on the bottom of the steering wheel fell off. I walked out to the shop to see what he was referring to. As I inspected the situation, I told him that my steering column was fine before I came here, he said that they would put some screws in it. I paid the repairs for my tire but I still couldn't leave I was told that the gear shifter was broken. The front desk service agreed to fix it, they said that they could not get the part from any local parts store due to the age of my vehicle so they are going to go to a junk yard, "you pull it" and get the part the next morning and repair it. I called the next morning to Mr. Tire and spoke to the service lady that agreed to repair my truck. I told her that I was able to find the part online at rockauto.com it would be in the following Friday, I would bring it by and they pay me for the part $159.89. She said ok. I arrived at Mr. Tire midday that Friday. The service personnel I had been working with told me that they was not going to pay for the part I purchased from rock auto, that they do not order from them. Then a worker from the shop area came to the front desk stating he has a truck like my truck and those things happen. I told him that we're are not talking about his truck. I was then told that the part had to be of equal value or less. Due to the age of my vehicle. I said my gear column is broken, your shop worker broke it and yall need to fix it. The worker from the shop stated we didn't brake it, you fix it. I looked around the people in the waiting area was looking, I told him I guess I'll have too. I I was 101 degrees that day my truck was pushed from the shop area before I arrived that day into the parking lot. I got my tools from the truck bed and worked on my truck replacing the steering column shifter assembly which even had a screw broken off into the steering column as my wife waited in her vehicle alone side me.
Before leaving the service area speaking to the service staff, I told them that I would settle this matter in court. I repaired it then left. later that day I researched the part at other parts stores and found that all the local stores were able to get this part which would have been $30.00 more than what I purchased it for.
Great service! You never want to catch a flat tire in an AWD Tesla on July Fourth, but if you do this Mr. Tire is best place we could have landed! Rita and Tyrieq gave us the news straight and let us know all our options and their top recommendation (replacing all 4 tires to not ruin our transmission). Bobby is the real MVP!! He got us in and out so efficiently!! Everyone was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Thanks y’all

The customer service was top tier when I went in this week. The gentlemen that helped me (Mr. Tyreiq and Mr. Robert I believe their names are), were so kind, professional, honest and helpful. They were thorough with their support and service and I appreciate their insight and everything they did to make sure I was informed, that my vehicle was properly worked on.
