  Masterful craftsmanship—genuinely worth the drive. I didn’t truly realize the value of this exceptional location until yesterday. If you want your glass repaired correctly, I highly recommend using this branch. Last year, a truck kicked up a rock and left a decent-sized chip in my windshield. I happened to be out in Sylva for a poker trip at the time, and a technician drove out from this Asheville Safelite location to handle the repair. He was incredibly patient and treated the job like a craft rather than just a quick task for a paycheck. He did a masterful job, and to this day, that chip is barely visible. The high ratings for this location are entirely justified. Fast forward to yesterday: I recently got another windshield chip due to the ongoing construction zone on Route 150 in Mooresville, which has become a total driving war zone. I called my insurance, and they dispatched a technician from my local Safelite branch instead. The contrast was night and day. The local guy changed our appointment time three times, was casual about the work, and shrugged it off by saying the repair takes 15 minutes because "the machine does all the work." After he left, the chip looked almost exactly the same—maybe a minor 10% improvement, but it's highly visible and stuck right in my field of vision. Because the resin has already cured, my only option now is a costly, full windshield replacement. My point: I wish I had bypassed the local shop and made the drive out to the Asheville branch to avoid a massive, avoidable headache. Even if Safelite eventually honors their warranty and grants me a free replacement windshield, I would honestly prefer to drive out to this Asheville location to make sure the job actually gets done right. Learn from my mistake!
