  I had some not pleasant experience with this shop. At first, I ordered wheel alignment and balancing. Dropped off my vehicle and went back to work. Came back in about 3 hours to pick it up and found that they did only wheel balancing because mechanic, who doing alignment, doesn't work Tuesday. Ok, understood, scheduled for next day. When got in car, found on passenger's seat, right on top of my wife's jacket, dirty, greasy work gloves. While driving, loud rubbing or knocking sound appears. Stopped 2 times, but couldn't find what is that, but sound comes from rear wheel. When arrived home, found brake rotor retainer screw on the floor by driver seat. How that get there, have no idea. Then started to look around rear wheel, one of weights fell on the ground. Also, they gave me a receipt for totally different service for someone's car. At all, sounds like they cannot do their job with quality and caring about your needs and property. Very disappointing

  We were visiting from Florida and damaged a tire - it was lunchtime on a Sunday! Originally told we would need to replace all 4 tires and I authorized Mavis to do that. Later in the afternoon they contacted me and advised that only one tire needed to be replaced, saving me almost $1,000. This is a reputable company and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Thank you, Mavis!

  I went to Mavis because I was hearing some noises around my right passenger tire area. I made an appointment with them. They took me right in and started looking at my car. They identified the problems right away. They gave me a quote right away for the problems. The main guy I dealt with told me about their credit card program. He also worked with me with the pricing and financing. I have never had a place work with me on pricing to fit my budget needs. Very impressive!! I did sign up for the credit card and was approved instantly. I was so thankful and very impressed by the Mavis employees!! To all of the guys working at Mavis on Sunday August 23rd 2026, thank you so much!!!

  I ran over an object on the highway and knocked something loose under my car. I couldn’t tell if it was serious or not. I realized it was dragging on the ground at about 4 PM on a Saturday right before I needed to leave on a 15 hour drive back home. Really couldn’t wait for the next day to start the drive. These guys squeezed me in 30 minutes before closing, fixed whatever it was, and didn’t even charge me!

  WARNING!!! AVOID at all cost!!Quoted over 2k for a brake job that I ended up doing at home for 60 dollars. Proof is in the pics! For those of you with no mechanical IQ, do not come here for any reason whatsoever, these folks are not looking out for your best interest. I would never say something negative about a business without unequivocal proof they’ve made a mistake, so read and look at the pictures for evidence. The car is a Land Rover Discovery. Brakes felt bad for about two weeks. Started to get a grinding feeling in pedal. Took it to Mavis to see/confirm it was the brakes. Called, scheduled “free brake check.” (Was told at the end of said brake check, “Yall are good, we’re not gonna charge ‘cause you didn’t really get anything done.” Ok? Man on the phone said the work up/diagnostic was free so…. While there, he put the car on the lift took all wheels off. Did not remove brake calipers to check them, did not get (electronic/analog) measurement calipers to check rotor thickness (for those of you unaware, this is a ROUTINE/EASY measurement to decide if rotors are too thin and need replacing. There’s a manufacturer throwaway thickness published for EVERY rotor in existence. The only reason you wouldn’t do that is if there was gross damage/deep grooves in the rotor and there were no such findings on my car. When they brought the quote back to me and said “you need all new everything with it being seized up like that, Rotors, pads, AND calipers on BOTH AXLES?! …Folks, you’ve got to run the pad down to the metal and wear a rotor out with that metal to seize a pad to a caliper piston. It doesn’t happen in two weeks lol. I asked about turning the rotors (mount them on a brake lathe and shave thin layers off until they look pretty and new; beware, they have to be thicker than the throwaway at the end to do this). The mechanic starts yelling, “No No no, that costs more than getting all new ones and you won’t have anything left by the end.” Haha not true, there were MINOR grooves in my rotors and a brake lathe can trim microns out at time on a final turn if the tech is good. Anyways, my point to this is a lot of assumptions were made about my mechanical IQ and there was ZERO discussion about any other option. None, only full replacement of everything. Next problem: the “lead mechanic” also was trying to say “see right here it’s blown the abs sensor out the back!” My car has a brake thickness sensor and when they get too thin, the circuit pops, and the sensor falls out. This sets an alarm on the dash to get new brake pads. Don’t know why it didn’t go off that’s another story. This was NOT the cars ABS sensor. Again caught him talking about something he knew nothing about that I learned after a 2 minute google when I left. I decided none of this looked as alarming as they said. You’ll have to trust me, the front was PERFECTLY normal. The rear pads needed to be replaced pronto so I parked the car till I could do it this weekend. The caliper piston was perfectly preserved on both sides and moved freely and normally The rotor was 9.5mm on the right and 13.1 mm on the left. The calipers were not seized up (like I was told) and the rotors were not below the throwaway spec. (8mm for rear rotors because when you go to parts store they can tell you), there is one side of ONE pad that is worn all the way to the metal and you can see shiny parts of it in the photo. I have pictures to prove all of this because I did the entire job myself in the parking lot of my apartment today. (Rust from sitting in the rain this week is not a reason to replace your rotors haha). The pads were 35 dollars for the rear axle and I had to buy a couple tools (caliper spreader etc) to get the job done. Sorry folks, but you did bad work on that rainy day last week. There’s really no excuse for something like this at a nice shop unless you’re trying to squeeze someone dry who looks like they’re too dumb to know better.
