- DMDillon MillerOct 18, 20265.0I live in hickory nc and I drove up to Ashville to take care of some things and I was having car trouble I had a plastic part that broke off and and hot coolant went everywhere and burned me and I stopped at this store to see if they had the part or could possibly help me fix it and Brian Sturgis is the man at that location he had the part in stock and helped me even put it on and I was able to make it home with no problems he definitely knows his parts and knows how to help with their needs I am forever grateful that he helped me be able to make it home that night which was this past Friday definitely keep him around for sure

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
