Barged in on the guys at Auto Stop with an A/C unit that wasnt working. Driving from Idaho to North Dakota with forecasted temps above 90°. I was between a rock and a hot place. They gave me a bump to the front of the line. Quoting process was upfront and honest. Service was great! I was informed of the details along the way. Turned out it didn't need a recharge, it needed a part. With a different course in mind, they didnt charge me for the recharge. Charged me a reasonable rate for diagnostics, labor, ans had the part installed in less than an hour. So impressed. If you're in need of a good mechanic and aren't interested in the corporate shenanigans of some of those other places, give these guys a call. Highly recommend.

I have used Auto Stop for two different vehicles I have driven, and all their maintenance is timely. They operate their shop with integrity and thoroughly explain every service they complete. I appreciate them walking me through their diagnostic process. Not to mention they also have very reasonable prices, which I appreciate!

Broke down, they got to my car quickly, and in a reasonable time frame, they kept open communication and they fixed the issues without trying to up sale me on anything else. I was hoping I didn’t blow a transmission and once they looked it over they replaced the transmission coolant lines and got the car back on the road within a few days. Thank you for the quick service and easy communication during the whole process. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area
Brought my vehicle for a full inspection after recently purchasing. Mind you, the vehicle has no current issues or lights that appear and drives completely fine. I have the paperwork showing Spark Plugs were replaced by the dealership 20k miles ago. For some reason, they not only said they were old and needed to be replaced, but that a spark plug replacement would cost $1,100.... It is a 2006 Mazda. Even on the high side of calling around town, the most I was quoted was $500 to $600. I was given 2 different laundry lists of repairs with different recommendations. The suggestions sent by text say I need my exhaust replaced, while the repairs they handed to me, dont even mention it. While there were 2 plausible recommendations for what needed to be replaced based on age. The other 12, "urgent fixes," overshadowed the only credible recommendations. In total, I was quoted for $4,500 worth of repairs that EVEN if they did need to be done. The quotes from around town are 1300-2000 for everything they recommended. It feels like I had $300 dollars stolen since it was not trustworthy information, and I now have to go pay for another diagnostic to see if I even need the 2 repairs that seem credible. By the way, the going rate for a diagnostic is 70 to 200. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Over-priced, poor communicators and are more than willing to learn how to fix something on your dime. They often tell you about your astronomically high bill after they've done the work. A simple comparison shop will open your eyes to their unfair pricing. Look back through the reviews and you will find other similar complaints. Here's a cost comparison. I needed my battery changed in my 2002 VW Eurovan. Diagnostic load test - they charged me $119. Other shop load test was free. Battery: their charge $200. Retail cost for top shelf battery: I paid $120. Installation: they wanted to charge $119. Other shop charge: $30. Overall, had I just let them put in the battery, I would have paid $438. Instead, I paid a reputable shop $150 for the same service. As a small business owner, I understand that a big shop like Auto Stop has overhead expenses, but this kind of overcharge is clearly excessive.
