Absolutely outstanding service! I had an amazing experience with Alamo at Bozeman Airport. First, they generously waived the additional driver fee for my wife, saving us $75 for our 5-day trip. On top of that, when I returned the car with a small windshield chip from a loose stone, they were incredibly cool about it and didn't charge me a dime. We flew in to Bozeman to find out at the counter they had no cars even though we had a reservation. The manager assured us they would cover the price difference with another rental company since they put us in such a pickle (it was 10 pm, we had a 45 min drive, one very tired toddler and no car or means to get where we were needing to go). We sent our invoice from the other rental (which was nearly double the cost and blowing the budget of our family trip) as the manager requested and he never once responded. We have reached out multiple times and are unable to reach anyone to discuss the matter.
Update - we have called Alamo THREE TIMES and they keep sending our information to the Bozeman location and we still have not been contacted

I booked a full size sedan but there were none available so upgraded to small SUV without any hassle. Car was clean and well maintained & equipped. Love skipping the counter option especially in busy summer locations. Return was smooth and easy. Everyone I dealt with @ Bozeman airport were friendly and professional.

The service was excellent, and the vehicle was in great condition. Our trip went perfectly and smoothly. We are so grateful to Alamo for being such an amazing car rental company that travelers can fully trust!
In October 2025, we booked and paid upfront for a Ford F150 for the month of May 2026.
Upon our arrival at Bozeman Airport, after a grueling 17-hour journey from France, Alamo informed us that our vehicle was unavailable and told us to go check with Hertz or another competitor next door. Despite our insistence, they simply had no vehicle for us. We paid $1,000 USD and received absolutely zero service.
We were extremely lucky that Hertz had a vehicle available on the spot, but of course, we had to pay $1,500 USD for it—an expense we had not budgeted for. Thank goodness Hertz had a car, otherwise our entire road trip, all our hotel bookings, and a trip worth $13,000 USD would have been completely ruined.
Mr. Jordan Byland, the rental manager at Alamo, desperately wanted us to cancel our reservation ourselves on their website, clearly trying to avoid having to issue a refund. Had we canceled as he requested, Alamo would no longer have been obligated to refund us. Fortunately, we never canceled that reservation, but we are still waiting for the refund of our $1,000 USD for a vehicle we never received.
Jordan Byland assured me that he would personally handle our refund. However, that was 20 days ago, and there is still no sign of the money in our bank account. We are currently fighting with Alamo to get our money back.
We used to rent through Alamo for all our trips (Hawaii, Seattle, Phoenix, Calgary...) and had never encountered a single issue until now. This is the very last time we will ever book with them.
Be extremely vigilant: never book with them and never pay upfront until you are absolutely certain you will get a vehicle. This company is a disgrace, and their customer service is deplorable! We will not back down until we receive our full refund.
