- LLLauren LawsonAug 25, 20261.0I recently reserved a vehicle online through Enterprise and visited the Cliff Gookin location to pick it up. I was informed that I could not rent the vehicle because I have an out-of-state driver’s license. I completely understand that company policies are in place and must be followed, and I have no issue with being denied the rental if I did not meet the requirements. My concern is how I was treated during the interaction. The African American woman was consistently rude and dismissive, which made an already frustrating situation unnecessarily uncomfortable. I had a gentleman with me who has a Mississippi driver’s license, and when we attempted to see whether he could rent the vehicle instead, the interaction continued to be unpleasant. When I asked for clarification regarding the policy, I was repeatedly interrupted and told that she had been working there for seven years and knew the policy. I was not questioning her experience. I simply wanted to understand the requirements and asked that she allow me to finish speaking before responding. There is a significant difference between enforcing a company policy and making a customer feel disrespected while doing so. I have never experienced this level of poor customer service from Enterprise, and I left the location extremely disappointed. I understand that employees have policies they must follow, but professionalism, courtesy, and basic respect should still be expected. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I hope management takes the time to review this interaction and address the customer service concerns at this location. This interaction was today on August 25, 2026 at 5:24 PM
