  250 for an oil change I will go on social media and tell everyone what a ripoff this place is They should at least tell you the price before They used a mail coupon to get me there

  I like this place and have had generally positive experiences getting my oil changed here. However, my most recent experience wasn’t great. I had a small oil leak when I went in to get my oil changed about a month ago. I mentioned this to the tech and they went ahead and did the change. They said it wasn’t currently leaking but if it started again to bring it back in and they could either tap the plug or replace the oil pan. As this is not my main car I rarely drive this one far. After about 20 miles I parked at home and soon after noticed a huge spot of oil under the car. When I took the car back to the shop the mechanic was not in on that Saturday but the techs told me the plug was very loose and most of the oil had drained. They told me they would need to wait for the mechanic to be in Monday to fix and I would get a call then to discuss either tapping the plug or replacing the oil pan. I didn’t receive a call Monday or Tuesday so I called on Wednesday. I was told the oil pan had already been replaced without anyone telling me that was happening. The mechanic said this was the only real option since there was also a crack in the pan that hadn’t been mentioned previously. I understand this was likely the only option, but this is a 15 year old car, and a $600 repair is basically half the value of the car so I would have thought I would have at least been asked to approve the repair and cost before it was done. Additionally, I was charged for a single windshield wiper which I never requested and didn’t need. The folks at this shop are generally nice and helpful but I really would have appreciated more communication here. I don’t think I should have been allowed to leave after the first oil change without being told about the severity of the issue, and I don’t think a repair this costly should have been done without confirming with me beforehand or at least providing a quote. I also don’t understand why I was charged for a single wiper blade but that’s less of an issue.
