I brought my RV in to replace both rooftop A/C units and make the new units able to run at the same time, unlike the previous setup. Camping World accepted the job and said it should be done that day. Later, they called and said thermostat wiring would be needed at an additional cost. I agreed.
After poor communication and no callback despite repeated attempts to reach the service department, I came in person and was told the RV was ready. I paid the invoice, then found that the thermostat work I had approved was not done, and the new A/C units still could not run simultaneously.
When I asked for an explanation, I did not receive a clear answer. They proposed another solution that would take additional time. I explained that I was traveling in the RV and that further delay was difficult. I was then told a technician could handle it the next day, but shortly before closing I was informed that he would not be available until Monday. I was left with the issue unresolved.
The invoice was also not clear enough to understand exactly what completed work I was charged for.
I am leaving 2 stars because the staff were friendly, they took the RV in quickly, and some service was provided. However, the main requested result was not delivered, communication was poor, and the final outcome did not match what had been discussed.

Not very happy. I just purchased a NEW camper on 5/6/2026 and i can promise I'll never go back, at least not to this particular store. Evidently unless you purchase the "let's go camping package" which cost $2000 then they will NOT help or show you anything with that camper. I'm not new to owning an rv so therefore i did not need the extra little goodies that come with the package or a new weight distribution and sway package which would have cost another $1000. I was not spending an extra $3000 for a detailed walkthrough or towing setup that I already owned. You would certainly think after purchasing a brand new camper that a "detailed walkthrough" would be part of the purchasing process. Granted it was raining so when the salesman took me out to see the camper he told me the only door that was open was the one going into the bathroom, of course i didn't think anything of it on count of the rain but it wasn't until i got home after opening the main door to the living area that I noticed the screen was torn. NICE RIGHT. On top of that, i had to install my own weight distribution and sway package to this camper because I did not purchase a new setup from them WITHOUT ANY TOOLS.... Purchasing a camper from there was more of an inconvenience than it ever should have been.

Complete disappointment.. Made an appointment and drove 3.5 hours to see a fifth wheel. Guy acted like we were burdening him and told us we couldn’t see other ones because we came from a different store. When I proceeded to look at others anyways he rushed us through them, wouldn’t show us anything, and then ushered us back to the store as quick as he could get us there. I won’t buy from any Camping World after that experience. The competition between salesmen to make sure they got commission off of me outweighed the customer experience.
We had an outstanding experience at Camping World, thanks to a great team and especially our sales representative, Phil.
Before making the trip, we spoke with Phil over the phone about a used RV we were interested in. Since we were driving over seven hours to see it, he truly went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information we needed ahead of time. He provided detailed videos of the interior, exterior, and even the roof—something we really appreciated given the distance. He also coordinated with the service tech manager to have the RV looked over prior to our visit, which gave us extra confidence before we arrived.
When we met Phil in person, he was just as helpful, professional, and easy to work with as he had been over the phone. There was absolutely no pressure—just honest and thorough assistance.
What really stood out compared to other dealerships we visited was the overall approach from the entire team. The sales manager, Rick, was friendly, welcoming, and did not apply any pressure at all. He genuinely appreciated that we had driven such a long distance to do business with them, which meant a lot to us. The finance manager, Patric, was also great to work with—clear, professional, and again, no pressure during the financing process.
Overall, this was one of the best dealership experiences we’ve had. The transparency, preparation, and no-pressure environment made all the difference. Highly recommend this location—and definitely ask for Phil if you’re planning a visit!

Regarding Eric Shelton: My wife and I took our first trip across the country in our new to us travel trailer and the mounting hardware on the slideout came loose driving over some rough roads. We were on our way to a vacation that we had invested a lot of time and money in. Eric knew we were in the middle of a trip and needed to get back on the road so he delayed taking his lunch break so that we could get our trailer started on the repair process as quickly as possible. He was able to come up with a reasonably priced repair to a difficult situation with the slideout and got us back on the road same day and we were able to meet our deadline for arrival at our destination. The truth is, as with any company, not all camping worlds are worth their salt unfortunately but Eric did a top notch job for us and I would highly recommend working with him and his team in Jackson MS.
