- LWLiam Windebank4 days ago1.0Floors here are so horrible. Store manager should be ashamed of themselves. If Ryan is your cashier? Expect to be there all day. He talks about things that doesn’t even relate to your issues. He’ll be with the same customer long after you’ve been checked out and left. What’s sad is it’s been like that a while now. My buddies and I have an ongoing joke when we have to shop there and he’s there. About how many customers the other cashier rings up, compared to Ryan. It’s usually 4 to 1 lol.

He is always polite, knowledgeable, and very professional. He does a wonderful job and I will definitely be back. Make sure you get the app on your phone. When you put your phone number in on the keypad in the store at the register you collect rewards that give you coupons. You can combine all your coupons and sometimes get your whole order almost free. I was told about the app and combining coupons and now it is one of my favorite apps especially if you buy a lot at Advanced like I do

The staff were helpful, if not a little overwhelmed, and the battery installation went relatively smoothly. I didn't get the employee's name, but he said he'd only worked there a couple of weeks. He was very friendly, but I didn't appreciate that when he told a brief story about how a vehicle of his had gotten totaled, he referred to the driver at-fault as "someone who probably didn't belong in this country." Those kind of ideals are unbelievable and that kind of racism incredibly inappropriate, among other things. I can't imagine Advance Auto would be proud to know their image is being held up by people with such gross opinions of other human beings.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
