  I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent experience at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change location on S. Kingshighway in St. Louis, Missouri. Before arriving, I called Valvoline’s corporate customer service line and was quoted approximately $105 for my oil change. When I arrived at the store, however, I was told my total would be around $125. When I questioned the difference, I was told it was because my vehicle takes 5.3 quarts of oil. This explanation did not make sense, as I have had my oil changed at this same location multiple times with the same vehicle and have never been charged these additional amounts. What concerned me even more was the conduct of the shop manager, Darren. While discussing the pricing, Darren intentionally unplugged the computer terminal next to my vehicle and then claimed the computer had “gone down.” He then stepped away from the service bay closest to my vehicle so he could have what appeared to be a private conversation about the pricing and the additional charges. Based on what I witnessed, it seemed like an attempt to avoid discussing the pricing transparently in front of me and to justify adding extra charges after the fact. As a long-time customer, I found this behavior to be dishonest and unprofessional. Customers should be able to trust that they are being charged consistently and transparently, especially when they have received a quote directly from Valvoline beforehand. Instead, I felt like I was being price gouged with unexplained surcharges and given misleading explanations when I questioned them. I respectfully request that Valvoline investigate this incident, review the pricing practices at this location, and address the conduct of Manager Darren. I would also appreciate an explanation for the discrepancy between the corporate quote and the amount I was charged, along with any appropriate resolution. I have been a loyal Valvoline customer, and I hope this matter is taken seriously so other customers do not have a similar experience

  Had an oil change and transmission flush. Had some issues with my transmission after, but it doesnt seem to have anything to do with the flush. They people here took the time to take another look at it. The guys here are quick, know what they're doing, and most importantly friendly and eager to talk about cars. I feel informed and ready to do whats next to get my vehicle back on the road.

  I wish I knew his name, but the employee helping me gave me a run down of everything that they can do for my car at the shop and did a really good job explaining it. Honestly think it was the fastest oil change I’ve ever had. Very efficient.

  Arielle and the team were so professional and made me feel like me and my car were getting well taken care of. We walked through all my options to keep my vehicle in tip-top condition, and I elected to do most of what was offered, including a radiator fluid update since my car is coming up on 100,000 miles. I felt that I was in excellent hands, and the 20% off coupon kept the cost reasonable!

  I was in and out within 1 hour. There were even 2 cars in front of me when I arrived, this team is very fast and professional. I was coming in for an oil change and new filters. They offered a menu of other services and were very efficient and polite, not pushy at all. You get a 10% discount if you pick 3 Services or more. They even showed me how to reset the oil change counter/notification on my car. Also, they will fix your AC for $190. Flush out all the old Freon and add new Freon. This is my favorite Valvoline, I always come here.
