- JCJamie Clay2 days ago1.0I have been using Valvoline for over 10 years but will not be back after this last experience. I just got a used SUV which passed inspection and was documented as being in great shape with no issues. After less than 5 miles after my Valvoline oil change, multiple lights started going off and ultimately shut down. Dobbs advised it was an alternator, serpentine belt and battery. I was also told this could happen if the serpentine belt was hit while the oil was being changed or if oil was leaked incorrectly. The Valvoline area manager immediately closed our claim and alleged that that Dobbs said it wasn't their fault, then started ignoring our calls. The Dobbs manager that allegedly said this told us that is NOT what he said and that fault was not discussed, only diagnostic results however, Valvoline immediately closed the claim and said nothing else can be done.
