After a terrible experience at Plaza Tire Service, Dobbs provided amazing care & service. My husband explained that I was sitting on Hwy 70 with our zero turn & trailer in 100 degree weather & that he had issues with Plaza Tires saying it will be a 3 hour wait... They took care of us immediately & even gave the guys some waters. We absolutely will recommend them to others. One of the best Dobbs experiences we have ever had.

I had an urgent overnight service needed to replace my battery and figured I would get my oil change at the same time. I had already determined the root cause was the battery and it needed replacement. They called me with a high price that I expected was because they only carried one high quality battery. When I arrived and reviewed the bill it was actually because 1. They did a $60 battery analysis that was not mentioned on the call and that I specifically mentioned I didnt need. They did end up refunding after I requested. And 2. They charged me $100 for the oil change. Turns out they had 4 tiers of oil service that were not mentioned on the call and they just chose the most expensive one for me. I had previously had bad experiences here but that was several years ago. I was in a pinch and this was the closest auto shop to my house so I figured I would give it another shot. The lack of transparency and willingness to take advantage of the consumer means I likely will avoid returning if I can.

Not a good experience!!! Dropped my vehicle on a Tuesday. It needed safety and emissions and I knew it would require work on a couple issues. I explained this to the trainee and Scott who is the manager? I told them specifically that I a front bearing that was failing and my check engine light was on. He assured me they would address it with the safety inspection. I received a call late that afternoon from Jake he stated that it would be approximately $1200 for 2 new tires, tie rods. I asked if it passed everything? He said it did. I told him to proceed with the work and asked about the bearing. He told me that he didn't find any issue with it. I was confused it was making a loud grinding noise as soon as the wheels started moving and you couldn't miss it when you even moved the a few feet. He said he would check it out. Jake called back Thursday and said he not only missed the bearing but that it also had failed emissions. ( Oil sensor and cad code. He then said it would be about $2200. I was aggravated by this point but had them proceed. I told him I would take care of catalytic converter code. The work was done and went to pick up van on Monday. Scott was working and said it would be just under $2000 I asked Scott what all was done to the van? He said he wasn't sure and had Jake come up to counter and let me know what all was done. He told me he gave me a discount. I was kinda satisfied with everything and paid. Chicago, I was going through my bill later and noticed $190 diagnostic charge. I called up and asked what this was. Scott informed me that it was to diagnose the emissions issues with the Van. This apparently is to read the codes that tell you exactly what is wrong with the van, although Scott insists that there's actual testing going on parts by Jake. It's not. They pull the codes. It tells them the most likely issue and they replace it. No diagnostics going on there. I cleared my cad code and brought van back to get reinspected. He informed me that I would need to leave the vehicle or make an appointment. I've been taking my vehicles to Dobbs for almost 15 years. That was the last time.

“I made an appointment to have my A/C serviced at 8 in the morning. I still had not received a call about my car by 4pm. I called the store and was told they did not have an A/C tech on shift for the day. even though I had scheduled an A/C service for that day. What is the point of making a appointment for a service that can't be performed? Why would the bussiness not call a customer and tell them their car cannot be serviced the day they scheduled it for? Absolutely awful business. No wonder their rating is so low.“ This is a copy paste of my Yelp review. I’ll add that I went to Meineke the next day with no appointment and was serviced while I waited in the store. You guys will never see me again.

I spoke with Dobbs on Tuesday, August 18th. They told me if I dropped it off that night my vehicle would get looked at on Wednesday. I dropped it off on Tuesday night, received a call on Wednesday that they're Technician was out - no big deal, things happen. They assured me they would get looked on Thursday. Thursday comes and I don't hear anything, so I call at 3 PM. They tell me they can't get to it, but they assured me again that they would on Friday. Friday comes, again no call from Dobbs. They assured me in would get looked at on Saturday. Finally they finished my vehicle on Saturday. After waiting for several days and having to rent a car due to their delays when I check out on Saturday I received no apologies, no discounts, nothing. The worst experience that I have had at any shop. 8-24-26 update: Received the following message when I tried to email: Your message wasn't delivered to guestrelations@dobbstireandauto.com because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail.
