  I was told it’d take an hour and 1/2 for inspection 3 hours later they did emissions instead of inspection. Took another hour to do inspection

  I usually go here to get some work done on my car. They are really nice, and fast. I did not have a problem with the guys working at the desk. They were both super nice. I did not like the guy in the office. I was lied too. All I needed on Monday was a safety inspection, and a emissions inspection. I dropped my car off before 8:20am. That was my appointment time, or so you are told. I find out that everyone is told to dropp of at 8:30am. I was told they would call me when it was done. I called them about 5 hours later, and was told one car was before me. The person who picked me up had to drop me off a few hours later. They were not going to be available later on. It was around 4 when I was dropped off. I was told it's the next car, so I sat down to wait. I was sitting around for about an hour. I received a call from Dobbs. I know they did not check my car it never moved from the spot I dropped it off at. I could see it from where I was sitting. On the call they told me they could not look at it today. That I could either reschedule or leave it with them. I was pissed. They had my car all day long. I was told it was the next car, and now I'm told to reschedule. I told the guy no I'm getting my keys and going somewhere else. I told him that they wasted my time. I went home and called Meineke and they got me in next day on a appointment. I don't know if they are extremely short staffed or what, but they need to let customers know. We rely on our transportation. I do not have an extra car to use to get to work. I can only schedule appointments on my days off. To be out of a car, and to waste a whole day is extremely stressful. I will not be going back. I will be going to Meineke for now on. They also could not believe how they could not get my car done when it was left with them all day. I am just warning people be prepared to not get your car serviced on same day.

  AVOID DOBBS LIKE THE PLAGUE SPECIFICALLY THE SOUTH COUNTY MALL LOCATION!!!! I dropped my truck off at 9am on 8/22/26 for an alignment. Dobbs South County mall had the vehicle all day. I called at 3:45pm for an update and was told they had not even started it yet, but was next to go on the alignment rack. They called back at 4:30pm stating it was complete and to come get it. After paying for the alignment, I walked out to my truck and noticed the driver wheel liner was wet with fluid. I got in the truck and depressed the brake pedal to find I HAD NO BRAKES! This location was going to send a paying customer on their way in a vehicle with no brakes! I went back inside, was told I would have to start a new ticket for the brake repair and did so. I did not receive another call regarding the repair until 4:25pm on 8/24/26. I received the AutoServe recommended repair report stating a brake line blew at the master cylinder and Dobbs recommended replacing both brake lines. I agreed to the repair over the phone with Dillon noting the repair cost to be $444.97 and was told it would be ready for pickup the following day. I was also notified that it survived an attempted catalytic converter theft to which numerous other vehicles fell victim to! After picking up the vehicle on 8/25/26 and inspecting it at home, I discovered only ONE of the two aforementioned brake lines were replaced and the truck pulled to the left with the steering wheel clocked to the right. I called back and spoke with Andrew and was told “well only one brake line ended up being bad” to which I responded “regardless, you recommended replacing both lines and I agreed to it and paid for it and the alignment would need to be redone” and was told I would have to call again on 8/26/26 to speak with manager Scott. After calling back on 8/26/26 I was told by Scott they would fix the brake line “if I wanted them to” and I said “yes, I already paid for the service!” I received another call back from Scott stating that “they only intended to replace one brake line”, but that’s not what their paperwork or my invoice says! I was then told I would have to leave the vehicle overnight AGAIN FOR THE 6TH DAY to which I said absolutely not. The repair MUST be completed today. Scott then said “well I’ll see what I can do” and promptly HUNG UP ON ME!!!! As of the time of this review, I still don’t know if my repair will be completed today or if I will be charged AGAIN for it. This company has gone to hell and Don Dobbs would be rolling in his grave to see how his company is now being run. This is a shady, dishonest, and predatory company that will NEVER receive another dime of my money ever again, and I will shout it to anyone in earshot to avoid this company, AT ALL COSTS. Update 8/26/26 - after reporting this location to the BBB and their corporate office, I finally received a response from Angie at corporate with ACTUAL customer service intention. Only 40mins after speaking with corporate, I finally received a call stating my vehicle was ready for pickup. And upon inspection at pickup, the cherry on top, this location couldn’t even be bothered to bend the new brake lines to match the factory originals. They just slapped new lines in taking the quickest and most direct route from the master cylinder to the ABS block. What a disastrous experience. Again, do yourself a HUGE favor and take your business elsewhere, where it will be appreciated.

  In a nutshell, 1. my car has been broken into and everything stolen, DONT LEAVE YOUR CAR OVERNIGHT. 2. I had to be towed because of the shoddy work, they did pay for tow and fix the issue. 3. Got new tires and an oil change. They didnt do the oil change but did charge me. I am done with all Dobbs.

  Been a customer there for over 15 years. My wife's vehicle had an appointment for a simple emissions test. Apparently the equipment broke down and nobody explained this to my wife. She sat there for 2 hours and had to leave work to get her because of another appointment. Then, we just stopped back several hours later and it was completed but no phone call when it was ready. There have been a multitude of other issues with this location, we will not be coming back.
