Watch out for Bommarito Chevrolet – They tried to take advantage of our Daughter by charging her more than he agreed price for repairs. The Service Advisor Reis Walker sent an invoice totaling $3,274.28. We I questioned Reis Walker and asked for an itemized invoice, he sent me a “revised” invoice for $2,860.00. A $414.28 difference. When pressed, he stated that it was a glitch in the system even though he knew the original price was $2,860.00. He believed he was dealing with a 22 yr old woman. How disgusting. I see other Google reviews of people having trust issues with Bommarito Chevrolet. Don’t trust Bommarito Chevrolet or Reis Walker. By the way, If Reis Walker disputes this review, I will post both invoices.

I have brought my vehicle to this dealership for service numerous times, and unfortunately, I have been disappointed by the experience on every occasion. I have continued to give the dealership opportunities to address my concerns because I drive a Chevrolet and, understandably, would prefer to have my vehicle serviced by a Chevrolet dealership that should have the knowledge, equipment, and experience necessary to properly diagnose and repair its vehicles. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has been the most frustrating one yet. I dropped my vehicle off six days ago because it had been experiencing a starting issue and would not start. After having the vehicle for nearly a week, I picked it up today with no definitive answer as to what was wrong with it. What makes this particularly frustrating is that I was charged over $1,000 for diagnostic work, yet after spending that amount of money and leaving my vehicle with the dealership for six days, I still do not have an explanation for the problem or a solution. The communication throughout the process was also extremely disappointing. I was apparently contacted several days ago regarding the vehicle, but those calls were never received on my end. Rather than ensuring that I was actually reached or following up through another method, the vehicle essentially sat there until I eventually had to call myself to find out what was happening. When I finally called, I was told that the dealership needed the “green light” to continue with diagnostics. This was incredibly frustrating because I was under the impression that the vehicle was already being diagnosed, especially considering how much I was ultimately charged for the diagnostic process. After six days, more than $1,000 in diagnostic charges, and multiple attempts to get information, I was ultimately left with the same basic question I had when I dropped the vehicle off and that is what’s wrong with my car. What makes the situation even more frustrating is the history I have already had with this dealership. During this visit, there was apparently no recollection of the dealership replacing my Body Control Module (BCM) last spring. I still have the paperwork documenting that work, so it was extremely concerning to hear that the dealership had no record or recollection of a repair that had previously been performed on my vehicle. Even more frustrating, I was once again told that the issue appeared to be related to the BCM, despite the fact that it had already been replaced by this same dealership. At the same time, my radio had recently stopped working as well, and that is why my BCM was replaced, the radio was not fixed after the service, I expected a Chevrolet dealership to be able to investigate these issues thoroughly and provide a clear diagnosis. Instead, I was left again paying a significant amount of money without receiving a definitive explanation. I understand that diagnosing intermittent electrical and starting problems can sometimes be difficult. I am not expecting a dealership to magically know the answer without performing legitimate diagnostic work. What I do expect, however, is competent communication, accurate documentation, transparency about what is being done, and some meaningful result after charging a customer over $1,000 and keeping their vehicle for six days. I left this experience feeling like I paid a substantial amount of money and still have to figure out what is wrong with my own vehicle. And upon leaving the dealership at the end, I questioned the advisor on how I was guaranteed that my car would not stop on the road again and he stated “If it does just bring it back here and we’ll do the same thing again”. So what is that exactly that you did. I sincerely hope management reviews what happened here and takes steps to ensure that future customers receive clearer communication, more thorough diagnostics, accurate records, and, most importantly actual solutions rather than simply being handed a bill with no answers.

My experience here was better than I could have ever asked for. They did really well communicating, being very helpful, & making the process as smooth as possible. The kindness they have was appreciated as this was only my second time buying a car ! Thank you ❤️

Great experience this morning! Very professional and courteous. The last dealership (Sames Chevrolet in Laredo TX) stripped the oil drain plug and they were able to extract the bad one and replace it while we waited and we received a complimentary car wash. Thank you Bommarito Chevrolet

Buying my first new car - a Chevrolet Trax LT - was a massive milestone for me, and I am so grateful I worked with Ken Reese. As a senior citizen trading in an old car with zero technology, I was incredibly intimidated by all the new features. Ken was exceptional ! He made me feel seen, heard, and understood from the very start. His extensive knowledge of the car is impressive, but his true gift is patience. He translated all that complicated technology into simple terms I could understand. Ken made me feel completely welcome, valued, and supported throughout the entire process. If you want a stress-free experience with someone who truly cares, go see Ken ! Buying from Bommarito Chevrolet South was an incredible experience from start to finish. Five stars all-around !!!
