Didn't think nothing of it, went and got another one,from them a few days ago, took it to the shop, and mechanic, put it on, call me and said, that one is no good, can you go get a better brand lol.. so I went to advance auto, they didn't have it in stock, but you better believe, that part was there when they open.. car starting up like a brand new Chevy lol. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
