- GTGenea Townsley-McClellanApr 8, 20261.0Went in to see about an amp and sub woofer in my new car. Guys were friendly and seemed knowledgeable, and they were able to install it that day. My husband and I waited at the shop while the install was completed. They came out and said there was a humming sound with amp hooked up and needed to order a part for it. They said they’d call in a day or two so I could come back so they could finish. Didn’t get a call, so I called them. I was then told because it’s a 2026 vehicle I have noise canceling microphone and I need to take to dealership to have that disconnected. I called THREE different Chevy dealerships and none had ever heard of that. Called house of sound back and was told he was going to call his guy back and would call me back the same day. No call that day, no call the following day. So I called them 4/1 and was told he was waiting for someone in Germany who works at the warehouse or something along those lines, to call him back so he could make sure the part would work. I again was promised a call back. It’s now April 8th and I’ve yet to get a call back. So I did some research of my own last Friday, 4/3, and called a couple different audio shops. Turns out other shops knew about this issue and knew what could be causing it. I made an appointment the next day at NW Audio in Platte City. He looked at everything and found out the guys at house of sound literally had wires plugged in wrong, he just switched it around and bam, works perfectly. So we paid house of sound almost $950 for the amp and sub woofer and installation only to have it not complete and now I feel as though I was given the run around. I’m still waiting for the call back from house of sound, which I’m sure I’ll get with this review. Oh and I paid NW Audio almost $200 to fix the issue. Me having to feel like I’m chasing you because you refuse to call me back isn’t ok. I paid for a service and didn’t get it and it’s been over two weeks since I came in the first time. Might have been an honest mistake with the wires on my install, and I know things happen, the problem is promising a call back the same day and still not getting it a week later. Makes it seem like you don’t have the solution, which Id understand if that was just communicated to me. We could’ve worked something out but yall unprofessional and can’t make a simple promised phone call. I’d understand being to busy but it was three times I was promised a call back and I know in the past week you could’ve made time for a phone call. 🤷♀️🤷♀️

I mean I get that but at the same time you are an audio shop you should be able to complete the job I came to spend money for a service that wasn't fully provided but all in all fair pricing I guess so their was some good and bad
