- JGJay GMay 30, 20261.0I had a very disappointing experience at QuikTrip Store #675 at 140 Fallon Loop Rd in O’Fallon on 05/30/2026. After leaving the store, I reviewed my receipt and noticed the roller grill items did not ring up according to the posted signage. The signage stated one roller grill item was $2.29 and each additional roller grill item was $2.00. I purchased five roller grill items, so the correct total should have been $10.29 before tax. Instead, my receipt showed the roller grill items were rung up as 3/$6.29 and 2/$4.29, totaling $10.58 before tax. I understand this was a small pricing difference on my receipt, but that is not the only reason I went back inside. If the register is set up incorrectly, this may be happening to other customers too. A customer may buy an additional roller grill item because the signage says each additional item is $2.00, then unknowingly be charged more. Even a small overcharge adds up when repeated across many customers and stores. This was not just about a small refund. It was about correcting the pricing issue so other customers are not charged incorrectly. I went back expecting a simple correction. Instead, the situation turned into a completely unnecessary argument. The original cashier argued with me first and then referred me to another employee. The manager on duty, who identified himself as Zion, also argued with me at the counter. I explained that the signage stated the first roller grill item was $2.29 and each additional roller grill item was $2.00. At first, Zion agreed that additional roller grill items after the first one were $2.00, but then he retracted that statement and said he should not have said it because it was wrong. Zion also tried to tell me I had actually been charged less, which was not correct. I had to explain the math multiple times: $2.29 for the first item plus four additional items at $2.00 each equals $10.29 before tax. My receipt showed $10.58 before tax. What bothered me most was that every chance the employees had to do the right thing, they seemed to choose the opposite. I had the receipt, the signage was posted, and the math was simple. From the way both employees looked at me and responded, it felt like they were treating me like I was dumb for even coming back over such a small amount. After going back and forth at the counter, I walked Zion over to the roller grill signage. The signage did not state a limit and did not say the pricing only applied in groups of two or three. It showed the first item price and that each additional roller grill item was $2.00. Even after seeing the signage, Zion continued to argue that the register rang it up the way it rang it up and acted as though nothing could be done. At that point, it felt like they were not actually interested in correcting the issue. It felt like they were looking at each other as if this was something to play around with instead of a customer concern to resolve. The way they looked at me and at each other made me feel like they had already decided they were not going to give me my small refund back. This should have been a simple posted-pricing correction. Instead, I felt argued with, dismissed, embarrassed, and treated like I was being dishonest over a pricing issue I could clearly prove. I generally expect better from QuikTrip, especially in O’Fallon. This experience was completely unacceptable.
