  Previously had good experiences. We are now into this shop for over $4000 and the same "rattle rattle" is still there. They did brakes, spark plugs, alternator (which was needed), oil gasket which I am not convinced needed to be done and they refuse to honor that they misdiagnosed the initial problem. They claim to honor their work and you would think that repeat customers who this last time alone have paid over 4K would get taken care of. Nope. Obviously never going back. So sad that I believed they were honorable and trustworthy and now it seems they are just like everyone else, out to take as much of your money as they can without caring whether you ever return or have respect.l

  My son took in one of our family vehicles about 2 weeks ago because he noticed a brake fluid leak at the rear of the vehicle and a soft brake pedal due to the leak. I wasn't notified at the time since he didn't want to bother me and wanted to be proactive in keeping the vehicle maintained. He was told by Car-X employees that the vehicle needed a full replacement of the entire rear braking system - new brake lines, calipers, rotors, pads, and fluid flush - at a cost of almost $1800 for a vehicle not worth much more than that. Unfortunately he allowed Car-X to perform the service, trusting that Car-X and their employees were being honest with the assessment. This vehicle had a rear brake job approximately 1 year (and less than 10,000 miles) earlier, which included new pads, rotors, and hardware. The vehicle also passed the state safety inspection 8 months ago, with no rear brake issues noted. It also just had an oil change and tire rotation 2 months ago during which the rear brakes were inspected and no issues were found, and remaining pad and rotor life was noted as excellent. My son stated that up until the day before he noticed the leak the braking system had been working great. While there was certainly an issue to address due to the brake fluid leak it's my opinion that my son was taken advantage of due to his lack of knowledge regarding the previous maintenance of the vehicle and in general automotive knowledge. What should have just been a brake line repair or caliper replacement turned into a MUCH more expensive and unnecessary service in my opinion, after having worked on cars for 30+ years. If you or a friend/family member are in need of a vehicle repair I would highly suggest that you look elsewhere. I cannot and will not trust this location (or any other Car-X location for that matter) with any future automotive service needs, and will make sure tell anyone I can of this experience in hopes that it can save someone else from a very expensive lesson.

  I got a pre-purchase appointment at the last minute and Bobby got me in within an hour and finished the job quickly. Very thorough, efficient and friendly. I would definitely return!

  This recent visit was for state testing, however, we have used this shop multiple times for other services. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and the service work is always professionally completed. They have even gone above and beyond to help me with an AC issue. Highly recommend.

  I’m a little at odds on this review, but think it’s best to point out the “good” and “not so good.” The Good Very accommodating Knowledgeable and seemingly honest Quality exhaust work The work that was performed addressed the problem. The workers used a paper floor mat so as not to mess up the carpet. The “Not so Good” Location can be hard to find the first or second time because there is no direct drive. You have to go another way and meander through a shopping plaza to find it. Can be a little impersonal - Instead of speaking with the tech and seeing what’s going on with your car, you get a text when the car work is completed. Front desk person spends most of her time in the shop area. I saw no less than 3 customers while I was waiting who were frustrated that no one was present when they walked in. On of them waited nearly 10 minutes. While waiting, I was informed that they were out of Argon Gas, but were waiting for more to be delivered - Upwards of an hour. Do these tanks have no gauges? How could this be a surprise? Labor time included waiting on Argon gas to be delivered. Not cool at all. Very pricey for the work that was performed. The waiting area was overly warm. For what I was paying, they could easily lower the AC. The waiting area is very drab. They could offer the customers coffee or something. Anything to make it a little nicer while people have their car repaired. Would I go back? Maybe, but I would likely look for another Car-X shop, even if it was a little further away.
