My windshield was severely damaged by a rock kicked up by a vehicle going in the opposite direction I was headed. I was very impressed with how professionally this organization conducted its business, and the quality of the work that was performed. It was very easy to set up the replacement appointment and throughout the service work being done, Safelite kept me completely informed as to how things were progressing. The work they did was top quality and it was performed in a very reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend anybody who has a broken/cracked windshield to consider using this outstanding company.

Do not use safelite! They gave me a quote for two windshields. I accepted. After they installed the first windshield they asked for payment. I said aren’t you going to install the second windshield before I pay. They didnt have the windshield with them and they didn’t know how to install it, that someone else would come out. The price I paid for the one windshield was a couple hundred dollars more than quoted for. It’s been weeks and safelite has not contacted me about my other windshield. I called safelite directly and they sent an email to the facility that did my first windshield to have them contact me about the second one. Safelite called me a couple days later to see if they had reached out. I said no. They said they would send another email to the district manager whom still has not reached out to me and it has been weeks. They only planned on doing one of my vehicles, that’s why they will not answer me or contact me back

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after this experience I felt it was warranted. The actual windshield replacement appears to have been done well. Safelite installed OEM Volkswagen glass and completed the recalibration, and the technician at the local shop was professional. The reason for the two star rating is the customer service and communication leading up to the repair. After a regional hail storm, I completely understood that OEM windshields would be delayed. My wife & I had no issue waiting for the correct part. The problem was that throughout the process, no one seemed to know the status of our order or our appointment. Our original appointment was postponed because the OEM windshield had to be ordered directly from Volkswagen. We were first told about four weeks, then six weeks, and a new appointment was scheduled. As that appointment approached, I received an automated call asking me to confirm it. Since I hadn’t heard anything else, I proactively emailed Safelite to verify the glass had arrived. It was only because I reached out did anyone begin looking into the order. I was then told the system didn’t show the part had arrived, but no one could reach the local shop to confirm (even though they called and emailed them). I was advised I probably shouldn’t come to the appointment, yet no one officially canceled it, no one rescheduled it, and customer service couldn’t tell me whether the repair could actually be completed. We had to make the decision to still go, driving two vehicles (to leave our car to be repaired and come back later to get it). However, even when I checked in and asked to verify that the part was there, I was dismissed and told I wouldn’t have the appointment if it wasn’t. Not 15 minutes later, we get a call from the Tech, indicating that the part hadn’t arrived yet, and they didn’t know when it would. We then drove back to pick up our vehicle (wasting our time, gas $ on both vehicles), got a small apology for the mix up and were told the store manager was on vacation and we could reach out next week when he was back. The following week, we get an email from the Parts department with Safelite indicating the part was to arrive on Thursday. Even though their system then accidentally rescheduled us for a Tuesday and then a Friday, before we had to correct them again to the following Saturday (when we were available) the whole thing was a mess and in the end no call from the store manager at that branch apologizing for their issues. The lack of communication was the most frustrating part. There should be a process to verify that parts are in stock before confirming appointments, and customers should be contacted proactively when there is a problem. In the end, the repair itself was completed correctly, and I appreciate the technicians who performed the work. However, the scheduling, communication, and customer service throughout the process fell well below the level we expected. We were offered no discount(s) only a brief apology for the issue(s) and no call from the store manager or customer service. In the end, it left a bad taste in our mouths and most likely won’t use them again in the future.

REFUSED TO GET ALL THE BROKEN GLASS OUT OF THE DOOR! I took my 2023 Ford F150 in to have both passenger side windows replaced after someone broke into my truck. They replaced both windows but my door sounded like a maraca with all the broken glass they left inside. I brought it back in and they got some of the glass out but still left quite a bit. They flat out told me that it wasn't their job to get all the glass out and that they didn't have the correct tools to do so. I said "Replacing broken glass is literally all you do and you don't have the right tools?" I strongly don't recommend Safelite. I then called Auto Glass Specialist and they said they could do it no problem for the cost of labor and that they don't consider a job done until all the glass is gone as that is the industry standard. Moral of the story is Safelite doesn't care about their quality of work or their reputation. If your insurance tries to get you to go to Safelite I would absolutely refuse! Hope this helps someone in the future from becoming a Safelite victim.

My windshield was damaged on 6/13, first date to replace my windshield was on 6/23. Five minutes before 8 AM i relieved a text that Saflite had canceled me and rescheduled me for JULY 10! After multiple attempts to speak with a human I received a call from a tech who said there was a windshield supply problem. Having waited nearly three weeks to get my car repaired I was not happy. The tech called back later that day and said he found a windshield and had rescheduled me for July 7, between 8 and 12. I waited all morning of the 7th and after 12 I called safelite only to have them tell me they had again canceled and rescheduled me for the afternoon of the 10th! However, I was not informed of the changes until I checked. I left instructions as to key location etc for the afternoon of the 10th as I was not going to be a my car's location. NO ONE SHOEED UP TO REPLACE MY WINDSHIELD, NO NOTIFICATION OF ANY KIND. NO CALL NO TEXT NO EMAIL! THIS HAS BEEN THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Now I will cancel with safelite, get my deductible back and find a reliable shop.
