I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my scheduled oil change earlier this week. Despite arriving 10 minutes early for my appointment, I was told the shop was too busy to check me in. I waited patiently as requested, only to witness several walk-in customers being assisted before my keys were even taken. After waiting 30 minutes past my scheduled time with no progress, I chose to cancel. It is clear that your current system does not prioritize scheduled appointments, which is unacceptable.

I had a genuinely frustrating experience at Dobbs and would not recommend them based on how I was treated.
Before agreeing to anything, I specifically asked the manager, Brandon Flowers, the diagnostic fee. He literally rolled his eyes and shrugged and said, “I have no idea.” That’s not acceptable. Basic pricing transparency should be the minimum expectation at any service shop.
On top of that, after my visit, I discovered that a tarp I had in my car was missing. No one mentioned moving or removing anything from my vehicle, and now it’s just gone. Whether it was carelessness or something else, it’s a serious breach of trust to steal from me.
Between the lack of communication, poor customer service, and missing personal property, this was an experience that left me feeling disrespected and taken advantage of. I won’t be returning.

I needed an emissions test to transfer my vehicle from Illinois to Missouri. I was driving by, saw the business, and stopped in to see if they could do it. They scheduled me for the next morning. I was in and out in less than 45-minutes. The man at the counter was very helpful and friendly. The price was reasonable. The whole process was easy. I highly recommend this location.
This is not the Dobbs that we have faithfully gone to for over 20 years. The family owned business has been sold and the new owners do not seem to care about their employees or customers. They are now VERY understaffed while struggling with new computer systems (which greatly slows down check in and check out)and less employee support (which affects quality of technicians they can maintain). I brought my car in for a flat tire on a Thursday night….left it to be fixed Sat. I suspected a nail but I was told it was a bad seal. Picked up my keys Sat afternoon, but left the car because we were going somewhere. When I went to drive it, the tire was completely flat. Stuck without a car Sunday. Monday morning they rushed a repair. I asked about possible nail and I was told it was checked. Must still be the seal. Got in my car after the “repair” and the tire light was on again. I Had to borrow my neighbor’s car to get to an appointment. Then I Was told it was a nail all along! I honestly blame the new owners. Their employees can’t keep up, can’t give the attention they used to, and have young mechanics that are still learning the trade. I’m a loyal customer , but I’ll be going elsewhere.
