- THTanya HaganAug 18, 20265.0The Dorsett, Maryland Heights store, and specifically Robyn G, is amazing. We had a complicated wiper blade install on a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The computer suggestion didn't work, our purchase didn't register in their system, but it didn't matter to Robyn. Robyn continued to work through challenges until she got it right. Clearly making sure the customer leaving happy was her goal. It is incredibly rare to encounter someone with this level of outstanding customer service!

And to make matters worse, I was having one of thee worst days of my life. I’d left work early and was heading home to cry tbh but I’m so glad I didn’t put off stopping in today. There was only one person in line in front of me but the second Lori thought I might have to wait too long she called Robyn over to assist. I’m not sure if she could tell how frustrated I was but she quickly changed that. She was immediately compassionate and swiftly assisted me with the diagnostic testing I came in for. Then she took me back inside and printed out the things I needed to figure out my next steps for my vehicle. The entire interaction she was so kind and made sure I didn’t feel overwhelmed. It may seem small but the interaction was mood changing for me! I did indeed cry when I got home but they were tears of joy! You never know how much kind words from a brief interaction with a stranger can affect you. And to top it all off, it was bad ass to see women working at an auto parts store. Ladies, if you need help and are a little intimidated by these places like me, go see these ladies!

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
