    I am a long time customer of Dobbs (20+ years) and historically very happy with the service provided. My recent visits have been terrible. Today was the final straw and I will no longer use Dobbs and especially the Lake St Louis location. On June 3rd I brought in my car for the A/C not working and could never get the store manager to give me a quote -- the car also needs new struts. After 3 weeks of waiting, 5 calls by me with no return call and 2 visits to the store, the store manager (Brian) would never call back or have the courtesy to give me any details. The only response from other technicians at the store is that they are short staffed. Unfortunately a 20 year relationship is now over thanks to such poor customer service. Sorry to see such a good brand diminish in value. Thank you for the reply -- I tried to respond to the below email but received an error message as a wrong email address? I would be happy to discuss my experience with you

    I recently dropped my car off last Friday June 19 at the Lake, St. Louis, Missouri, DobbsI had several warning lights going off in my vehicle along with needing an oil change I did not hear Hear from them at all Friday or Saturday until I called them Saturday afternoon at 1 PM then again at 4:45. On the 1 PM call, they told me my car was next to go in Then at 4:45 they told me they weren’t able to get my car looked at that day and would need to hold it until Monday Again, no communication until I contacted them. I went into the Dobbs on Monday, 22 June My vehicle vehicle was parked in the same spot. It had been parked in. I Ask if they were gonna look at it and was told they believe that they needed somebody in there to do a diagnosis to figure out why my check engine lights were on. I asked them about servicing my four-wheel-drive and the oil change and they said they knew nothing about it even though I told the person about it on Friday. The young man behind the counter did not have a name tag on, so I couldn’t tell you who he was But I will tell you, he was not paying attention to what was going on and actually seemed like he could possibly be beyond something This store and it’s customer service have gone downhill since the former manager opened up the new store in Washington, Missouri I’ve been a loyal customer of Dobbs for well over 15 years and this experience along with one my daughter had where they kept her car way too long for a very simple oil change I will not be coming back

    Made appointment for emissions online. Brian to my keys i dropped it off the nitr before. Got a call at 9am asking me what my car was in for I told them and asked for a completion time ,he said noon. Not done at noon not done at 3pm not done at 6. Day 2 get call at 10 am asking for my address they said it was next in. Got a call 1 wasn't done yet but he was trying to sell me alignment, finally done hour later.

    Lately, the universe has been absolutely brutal to us. Our transmission died back in March (long story for that) and Dobbs did an outstanding job of replacing it and working with our insurance company to get this done promptly. They gave us regular updates and we felt included in the process. When that replacement transmission died a month later (because the insurance company would only pay for a used replacement), Dobbs stepped up and insisted on a new from-the-manufacturer transmission. They again worked with our insurance company, gave us updates, and made sure we didn't exceed our timeframe with the rental. It's hard to imagine a company going more above and beyond than this. But needless to say, we will continue to use Dobbs for all of our automotive needs.

    Make sure you check out the tire you’re replacing before you tell them too, they took advantage of my 70-year-old mother who came in there saying her back driver side tire needed replaced because of a gouge in the sidewall not realizing that when she got her oil change done the day prior her tires rotated, and it was actually the back passenger one that needed to be replaced. They decided to replace a brand new tire with less than 9,000 miles And left the tire that needed to be replaced on the vehicle. I called there to give them a chance to make things right not looking for a refund but looking For some simple understanding and customer service. I waited on hold for 15 minutes just to be told that everything he told me prior was basically a lie. I asked if I could come inspect the tire that they replaced Or at least come get the tire being it’s a brand new tire And then he got defensive. I will never recommend any of my customers go to this place
