This is the first time in my life that an auto shop hasn’t sent a courtesy text or call to let me know my car was ready for pickup. I missed that part when they called earlier and completely forgot about it during my busy day. But when I called to politely ask if my car was ready, the guy was very rude and basically blamed me for forgetting. A simple text reminder and a little courtesy would have made a big difference. On top of that, they charged a 3% credit card fee without informing me when I dropped off the car. I didn’t bring my debit card, so I was caught off guard and had no choice but to pay by credit card. This is also the first time I’ve encountered an auto shop charging a 3% fee like this. Absolutely ridiculous. The work itself was fine, but the poor customer service and lack of transparency are enough for me.

And came out to a car that wouldn't start, on top of it being 90 degree weather...🙄 The previous few days I had the message on my dash saying "renew KEY battery", which I had planned to that day after my meeting. I didn't have any spare remote batteries with me, and was lucky enough to get a ride with one of the ladies from the place I interviewed to a local Walgreens. Changed the remote battery--annnd the car still didn't start! So at that point, I called my parents who were able to come get my car jumped. All the while trying to remember the last time when/where I bought a new car battery-- which didn't seem any longer than 2-3 years ago. I still had to get to work that afternoon, so my parents let me off and took my car to the local Car-X in Kirkwood, MO. My parents just dropped in there asking for help, that they needed to see if they can find out what was wrong with their Daughters car. Thank Gosh they were not terribly busy. A nice gentleman said give me a half hour and we can look at it. But he started on it actually much faster. They checked the Battery and alternator; said Battery was low. ALT was fine. Just nice guys. They got it changed quickly and made sure to tell me there is a TWO year Warranty on it. Need to check what all that covers to be sure. Thanks again to the nice guys at the Kirkwood store for taking great care of my parents and me that day!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
