However, I am very disappointed by a recent experience we had. Several weeks ago, my husband ordered and brought home two sub sandwiches. When I took my first bite, I immediately knew something was wrong. After another bite, I realized my sandwich was covered in some kind of gross hot mustard, which is not what we ordered. We politely called the store and spoke with a very kind gentleman who apologized and said he would write down my husband’s name so the sandwiches could be replaced the next time we came in. Not long after my husband got off the phone, he was nearly finished eating his sandwich when he pulled a long brown hair out of his mouth that had been inside the sandwich. He literally gagged, wrapped the sandwich back up, and threw it away. At that point, we were both completely done with our meals. Fast forward to tonight. My husband confidently returned to the store to pick up the replacement sandwich that had been promised. He gave his name to an employee named Tim, who told him, “We don’t write down names.” My husband then asked if they had a notebook of some kind, or another place where customer names were kept because there was no doubt in his mind that his name would be written there. I was on the phone listening to the entire conversation, so I heard Tim ask how long ago the incident had happened. My husband told him it was approximately five weeks ago, around 8:30 p.m. Tim then asked if we were local, and my husband told him yes. Unfortunately, he still would not honor what had been promised. Instead, he said, “Five weeks ago is a long time ago.” My husband replied, “So what? Our name was supposed to be written down.” I don’t understand why anyone would expect us to come back immediately for replacement sandwiches after one was made incorrectly and the other contained a long hair. We had no desire to eat another sandwich from there for a while after what had happened. I’m especially disappointed because QuikTrip has always had a reputation for outstanding customer service and for making things right for their customers. That’s one of the many reasons we’ve continued to shop here over the years. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience this time, and I genuinely hope management has an opportunity to look into what happened and make it right.
