Easy to book appointment online, service started and finished when they estimated it would, technician was thorough and prescriptive, great value vs a windshield replacement

Jason from Safelite came and installed my new windshield after hail damage and he communicated clearly all the steps he was taking from when he would arrive to how long the work would take and how to best care for and utilize the new windshield. The process was easy, quick, and even enjoyable. Thank you Jason!

This place is junk. You call. They send you through a bunch of AI stuff before they even get you to a person on the phone that wants your personal information before they can even tell you a quote. This place is ridiculous. It's a simple question. Never use this place. They stole your information to a third party before you can even get a chance to see if you want to purchase from them or not

This was an incredibly frustrating experience. I scheduled with Safelite initially and then quickly cancelled my appointment because I found another company that could do it sooner and faster. However, that company called back and told us they had the wrong glass so we had to go back and schedule with safelite. In ended up being a week wait until I could get it fixed, which wasn’t the end of the world. However, the day before my appointment, I got an email (not a call, and AUTOMATED EMAIL) saying they rescheduled my appointment and pushed it back a week. I responded to the email and expressing my frustration with the late notice and lack of communication and I was essentially told “Sorry, if you want to schedule with someone else, let us know” which felt incredibly dismissive. I called around and no other place could get it done before the new appointment time, so I decided to keep my Safelite appointment, despite being upset with the company. Now, at this point, I’ve been without a car for 2 weeks and unable to go home, make plans, or schedule in-person interviews (as I’m currently on the hunt for a job). So it’s been an incredibly frustrating and stressful two weeks trying to coordinate with other people to borrow their cars so I can keep some of my appointments and plans. Now flash forward to the next week and I get a call the day before my 3rd appointment time telling me that they STILL don’t have the glass. At this point, I’m going around trying to find ANYONE else who can get this done, but everyone is telling me it would be upwards of 10 business days to get the right glass in, so I decide to walk into the Safelite store (because they were not picking up ANY of the many calls I made to their store) and talk to someone about this. I head to the front desk and explain what’s going on. I tell them that all I’m looking for is a guarantee that they will have the correct glass and be able complete the appointment as promised the following week. Because if not, I would schedule with a different place because I have lost faith in Safelite. The woman working there GUARANTEES that they will have the correct glass and they will get my car fixed next week. I thank them and leave. We get to the appointment date. The day prior, Safelite had called to tell me they had the glass in and would be able to complete the appointment the following morning. The guy shows up at 8:30 I give him my keys and go back to my doing my thing. 10 minutes later, the technician knocks on my door and tell me that the glass they had was just completely the wrong glass. I really didn’t know what else to say except “are you joking?” 3 and a half weeks later and you show up with the wrong glass? Despite them having the VIN number… The only reason it got done a few days later is my boyfriend went down and voiced his displeasure in the whole thing and told them he wasn’t going to accept anything less than the car being fixed by the end the week. The only good thing to come out of this is that Safelife offered to cover part of my deductible for all of the inconvenience they caused me. However, when the first technician came out to my house, he told me to my face that they were able to do that and I would have to pay the full deductible. I had to call customer service to get that figured out, but it ended up not being a problem anymore because the guy brought the wrong glass! Which I still have no idea how that happened because they literally had my VIN number and they also verified it ahead of ordering the glass. This whole experience was so incredibly frustrating and so incredibly unprofessional. Everyone I spoke to was so wildly unprofessional and so incredibly unhelpful. I will never ever again choose to fix my glass with Safelite. The only reason we kept with them after they kept rescheduling us was because everytime they pushed our appointment, they guaranteed it would be done the next week and to schedule with another company would be at least another week and a half.
