My husband and I are traveling from Wisconsin on a two-week road trip with our dog when our truck battery started failing. After stopping at a GMC dealership that couldn't get us in and another auto parts store that couldn't replace the battery, we were getting pretty frustrated. Then we met Lou! He took the time to run his own diagnostic tests, confirmed the battery was bad, and stepped up to help us replace it when others couldn't. What could have been a major disruption to our vacation turned into a wonderful reminder that there are genuinely good people willing to go the extra mile. She straight up rolled her eyes and asked if I was gonna plug it in myself & got angry when I said no sorry so she huffed and puffed and asked, “wHy NoT 🙄😒? My back hurts today!” I had to let her know, “That’s crazy, you want me to clock in for you? No disrespect, but that’s your job.” Expecting a customer to do your job is completely ridiculous and treating a simple request like a burden is just rude and unprofessional. Thankfully, the guy with the tattoos at the front desk stepped up, and handled it before it turned into a scene. His help was definitely appreciated, I didn’t get to catch his name but I could tell he was overwhelmed by her response too. Praying for that lady🙏.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
